2x Lambert Estate Thoroughbred Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Barossa — Barossa
This thing pours black as midnight. Proper inky stuff, the kind of colour that tells you straight away you’re in for a big, indulgent ride. It’s powerful, it’s generous, it’s got that “treat yourself” energy, but it’s still balanced enough not to feel overdone. Cabernet for cabernet lovers. A big, bold beauty that absolutely delivers what the viscous, inky look promises. Stick your nose in and it’s all cassis, liquorice and a cool hit of mint, backed by spicy cedar that lets you know there’s some serious oak work going on. The palate is lush, plush and downright hedonistic. Blackcurrant drenched in dark chocolate, a bit of mint and a shake of earthy spice - all rolled into one long, velvety mouthful. The tannins are smooth as anything, bringing all that richness to a finish that just keeps humming along for what feels like hours.

2x Penley Estate Black Bull Cabernet Sauvignon 2023
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Barossa
Guess who’s back and ready to go? One of our favourite Coonawarra producers, Penley Estate, has done the hard work to bring back this Mofo favourite. Aptly named, this robust cabernet packs a punch with strong, flavourful and classic Coonawarra characteristics we’ve all come to love and enjoy. Dark fruits of the black forest abound and surround the recogniseable cedary, minty core; while framed with superb mineral tannins that allow for youthful drinking while still earning a nook in your cellar over the next 10+ years.
You’d pay $50 full price.

2x Hollick Red Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Barossa
This is jam packed full of black and red fruit - currants and raspberries mix with bramble and plums. The earthy and greener notes chime in late, backing up that initial fruit with some savoury depth. Classic Coonawarra - completely delicious. Estate fruit from the famed Hollick vineyards in Coonawarra, this is cab sauv like Aussies know and love. Certainly, a little bit of age behind this number has helped to fill out the mid palate, making it rich and dense with threads of fennel and mint throughout. It's very hard not to enjoy this wine - and we're speaking from experience.
You’d pay $35 full price.

2x Redman First Divide Cabernet Sauvignon 2022
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Barossa
You're going to know this producer, they're one of the greats... These grapes, grown in the world-renowned terra rossa soils of Coonawarra, have all the classic flavours you’d expect, and then some! Cassis and eucalypt define the palate, with the potential for a great many years ageing - if you can be bothered! We're loving ours just how it is right now.
These guys were established in 1908 - a pioneering winery of Coonawarra. Still family owned, they pride themselves on the amazing wines they’re making today with the benefit of four generations of know-how. This 2022 release lands with intent - all blackcurrant depth, graphite edge and a cool flicker of that minty, eucalypt that helps define the region. There’s structure here, but also grace: tight, fine tannins wrapping around a juicy, perfectly ripened core. French oak plays its part quietly, adding texture and shape without stealing the spotlight. When should you drink this wine? Every, damn, day!
You’d pay $30 full price.
