Why do we love this case?
We can’t get enough of the King of Grapes. From bright and elegantly textured to piledriver power and raucously rich, this Bordeaux native is equally capable of brilliance in a blend or all on its own. This pack offers you a selection of six cabernets, there’s something unique about each one and each offers its own journey of discovery. Bow down to the King!
Each case contains TWO bottles of:
2x Zilzie Platinum Edition Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
McLaren Vale — Australia
Ah cabernet - adored worldwide, and many styles attempted just as wide. We might be biased, but Aussies do it best - don’t you think? So take this ripper from the heart of the adored McLaren Vale region and you’re in for something special. Not as much on the eucalypt and mint spectrum as those from Coonawarra, instead densely packed with mocha, dark chocolate, red licorice and coffee spice. It’s a bloody ripper for your weeknight indulgence, and will please any guest at the table.
You’d pay $35 full price.

2x Gapsted Ballerina Canopy Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
King Valley — Australia
This producer is an all-round King Valley favourite of ours. The wine is a wonderfully medium bodied drop with complexity from 17 months in a mix of American and French oak. It has all of the oak-derived structure, vanilla and chocolate you could want, whilst the cabernet sauvignon brings bramble, blackcurrants and hints of thyme and bay leaf. Pop the oven on and get that lamb roasting cause this wine is sure gonna need something to pair with.
You’d pay $31 full price.

2x Mitolo Jester Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
McLaren Vale — Australia
This is a jaw-dropping value delight from a Vale winery many a mofo has fallen in love with. This wine is built to entertain; its reason for being is to let the good times roll. Think jubilant, ripe fruit flavours with plushness to spare. A solid sprinkling of tannin keeps the edges in check and dribble-inducing flavours of liquered Morello cherry and chocolate abound.
You’d pay $27 full price.

2x Undurraga Aliwen Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Chile — Chile
Viña Undurraga has been operating continuously for over 130 years, making them one of the most important and historic wineries in all of Chile. What better place to start when dipping your toe into Chilean wine for the first time? Ripe, red fruit flavour is enhanced by notes of cedar, vanilla and chocolate. The tannins are supple and soft, letting the energy of the fruit do the talking. It’s about as versatile a cabernet as you’re likely to find as well.
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Reschke Bull Trader Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
Hurry up dear cabernet friends; the clock is ticking with little time to convince a cabernet lover to pinch this wine while stocks last. From the best-known region for cabernet - Coonawarra, South Australia’s nailing the brief here for iron earth woven like a tapestry through cassis-ripe flavours. Hold the phone, this always scores high points - with the previous 2018 vintage scoring 98 points from Winestate. That’s an insane score; this vineyard is magical! Full-bodied, quite rich, silky texture and full of dark fruits indicative of the variety. There’s a bit of spice from French oak as well. We are confident this will fly as fast as it arrives, so snatch some up while you still can.
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Thistledown Wild & Wilder 'Pugilist' Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Langhorne Creek — Australia
This pan-South Aussie producer is fast becoming a mofo favourite across their delicious red and white wines. They seek out parcels of quality grapes in Barossa, McLaren and in this case the maritime region of Langhorne Creek. Their wines are made to a high-standard across the range and are reliably delicious. This cabernet shows off a perfumed nose of flowers, juicy plums and dried herbs, followed by a medium-bodied, ripe and textured palate. There’s a gentle earthiness in the wine that is wrapped in blackberries and a lingering olive tapenade finish.
You’d pay $22 full price.
