Why do we love this case?
When you're dealing with wines of this caliber, there's no need for clever copy or marketing ploys. The quality speaks for itself. The scores speak for themselves. The reputations of these producers speak for themselves. This is our confession: We don't get to offer wines like this every day. Or every month. Sometimes not even every year. When bottles of this standard become available, the smart money moves fast - and the indecisive miss out completely. Three wines. Three legends. One unmissable case. You know what to do...
1x Hewitson Cask 66 Shiraz 2023
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Barossa
The Boss
From one of our favourite Barossa producers, who have brought us multiple 98 and 99 pointed drops before, comes this incredible special release shiraz that will continue to improve for the next 20 years. Careful maturation in specially selected highest-grade French oak, followed by barrel selection of the finest juice, has helped craft this unparalleled expression of the country's top grape/region combination. Compellingly complex, the nose shows rich, ripe plums and bramble fruit with black cherries. Supporting is an excellent intermingling of charcuterie, black olives, cocoa and liquorice. The palate is simultaneously refined and powerful, with beautifully ripe tannins and a clean line of acidity supporting an incredibly long finish. This is premium Barossa at it's absolute best.

Tasting Notes
1x Grant Burge Meshach Shiraz 2019
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Barossa
Grant Burge Meshach shiraz; Globally sought after. Internationally renowned. Unparalleled craftsmanship. That is to say: this is a big deal. No two ways about it, this wine’s at the big end of town. Lots of fruit, lots of oak, lots of impact. This is shiraz that holds the spirit of the Barossa in it’s hands and allows you to drink it in. Deeply mysterious in colour; flashes of inky blue and violet purple poking through what is a dark, ominous onyx. Ripe rhubarb and black cherry on the nose, with leather, cedar, and cigar box revealing themselves as the wines allowed to amble around the glass.

Tasting Notes
1x Glen Eldon Twisted Trunk Reserve Shiraz 2023
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Barossa
Hooley dooley. Old vine mastery. This has all the ethereal complexity that you can only really achieve when harvesting fruit from ancient vines. Gnarled and moody in the glass, as it's allowed to drink in a little air you'll see it evolve and open up to you. Something special to be sure. It’s always exciting to come across a wine with such presence in the glass. This has a powerful black fruit core that really ties the wine together, making it full and complete. The aromatic power of the wine walks the walk when it comes to the palate - glossy and full and rich. The fruit profile swarms the mouth; brambly, briary, bunchy. That freshness and focus of the fruit is followed by spice, coffee, and toffee nuance. This is immense in every sense of the word.
