1x Big Easy Radio Pinball Wizard Zinfandel 2024
Red — Zinfandel
McLaren Vale — Australia
Zinfandel's got a fearsome reputation - full-bodied, a bold nose, powerful - but really, it's a softie once you get to know it. Jammy berry compote and primary fruit lead the way, with liquorice, vanillan oak and a touch of smoke on the palate, backed by moderate tannin. This is a wonderful Zinf. Single-vineyard fruit from coastal Aldinga, cool-fermented and rested a year in seasoned French oak. Cranberries and spice on the nose, a proper flavour explosion in the glass. Easy enough for any old afternoon, memorable enough for something special. Big yes from us.

1x Sorby Adams HandCrafted Cabernet Sauvignon 2023
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
South Australia — Australia
Simon 'Sorby' Adams spent over 40 years honing his craft - including a long and celebrated tenure as Chief Winemaker at Yalumba. When someone with that reputation and depth of experience goes out on their own and starts making small-batch wine on their own terms, you know it's gonna be special. And special this is. This cabernet is the meeting of serious winemaking expertise and exceptional Barossa and Eden Valley fruit. Small batch, handcrafted and given the kind of careful French oak treatment that builds genuine complexity and longevity rather than just adding weight. Dark cherry, plum and chocolate on the nose, with a structure and depth that signals immediately this is built to last. The palate is robust and richly textured, with silky tannins and a persistence that makes every sip feel considered and complete. Drink it now with something worthy from the grill, or put it away for a decade and watch it develop into something completely different all together. Premium Barossa cabernet from a winemaker who's spent a lifetime getting this right.

1x Sew & Sew Sashiko GSM 2022
Red — GSM
McLaren Vale — Australia
2022 was one of the best vintages McLaren Vale has ever produced, and this GSM is living proof. A blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Shiraz and 10% Mourvèdre, this is an absolute Australian classic. Wherever, whenever, with whatever's on the table - this one's built to just be enjoyed, no rules attached. Pulled from three vineyards scattered between the Willunga foothills and the McLaren Vale township - close enough that each block can practically see the other, sharing similar soil along the way. Cherry red in the glass, with strawberry, raspberry and plum on the nose, joined by ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg doing their thing underneath. The palate keeps the fun going - red fruit, cherry and lingering spice, wrapped in silky tannin and a savoury streak of acidity. Here's the best part: this is ridiculous value, and it doesn't ask for a special occasion to justify opening it. Drink it with pizza on the couch, drink it at a barbecue, drink it solo because it's Thursday and you feel like it. Your wine, your rules!

1x Terra Vino McLaren Vale Shiraz 2023
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
Deep purple and deeply delicious. This classic McLaren Vale Shiraz brings all the fruit and then some; dark berries, black cherries, floral spice and a lick of chocolate leap from the glass. On the palate, it’s plush and powerful, with that fruit that carries all the way through to a long, seamless finish. Balanced and bold, this is the kind of wine that just works - particularly with Italian food (thank us later).

1x Madfish Cabernet Blend 2022
Red — Cabernet Blend
Western Australia — Australia
Sometimes a wine doesn't need a complicated story. It just needs to be really, really good. And this one is really, really good. The tannins are soft and pillowy, the structure is perfectly pitched and the finish is long enough to keep you thinking about that first sip for hours. Cedar spice, mint, dusty cocoa and dried sage on the nose - savoury and completely inviting before you've even taken a sip. The palate opens up into ripe raspberry, red liquorice and baking spices, with chocolate undertones and a generosity of red fruit that makes it genuinely hard to put down. Balanced acidity, powdery tannins and an earthy depth that gives it character well beyond what you'd expect at this price. Crack one open tonight alongside something slow-cooked . Or tuck a few away for the next few years and let it develop into a whole different beast.

1x Serafino Wines Goose Island Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
This shiraz genuinely punches well above its weight - especially when you take into account the name on the label - delivering quality and complexity you'd expect from wines commanding significantly higher prices. It's got power, finesse and approachability, meaning you can geek out analysing all the layers or just pour generously and enjoy without overthinking. Vibrant, polished McLaren Vale shiraz crafted with estate-grown fruit sourced from two of this producer's most famous vineyards. 9 months in seasoned American (70%) and French (30%) oak brings a bit of grunt whilst retaining fruit purity. Ripe dark plum and spice aromas leading to a generous, structured palate - juicy black fruit, subtle peppery notes, a plush texture and fine supple tannins stretching to lingering finish. Store or pour - up to you - this one will be sitting pretty from now until 2030 at least!

1x Three Elms Timbertops Gewurztraminer 2024
White — Gewurztraminer
Great Southern — Australia
Crack the top and you’re instantly met with a heady perfume of rose petals, pink musk sticks and cinnamon-spiced pear. Give it a swirl and lychees leap from the glass. It’s unabashedly aromatic and absolutely delicious. There’s a touch of residual sugar here - just enough to amplify the fruit and spice, without tipping into cloying. Think poached pear, lychee syrup and Turkish delight, all building up to a rich, almost creamy texture. But don’t worry - a streak of fresh acidity keeps it clean, bright and incredibly moreish. This isn’t your bone-dry Aussie take - it’s a gewürz with some generosity and swagger - not unlike your classic Alsace examples. Perfect chilled and poured alongside your next Thai or Indian takeaway. A wine for spice, sunshine, and good company.

1x Pauletts Clare Valley Riesling 2025
White — Riesling
Clare Valley — Australia
Clare Valley riesling proves, again, that it's one of the best 'bang for your buck' wines in the world, yep, seriously. Packed full of distinctive regional qualities: lemon-lime cordial, orange blossom, zippy acidity and that slaty mineral note we all know and love - this is an absolute winner. It's crisp, it's clean and it's got 95pt Reviews from everyone that's even looked at the thing. Right in the sweet spot. On the spectrum of Clare riz, this sits bang in the middle, 'the goldilocks zone', so to speak. The acid is prevalent, but not too austere. The fruit is developed, but not overly rich. The mineral aspects are refreshing, but not spritzy. It's the kind of wine you can show to anyone, but far from boring. A fresh, dry and completely delicious bottle of rizza that'll have you reaching for another glass quicker than you think. A little dangerous in that regard. Drink a case now and have a look at another one in 5 years... trust us.

1x Mitolo Wines Jester Vermentino 2025
White — Vermentino
McLaren Vale — Australia
Vermentino. The variety that Australian wine is just beginning to properly fall for - and McLaren Vale is proving to be the best place in the country for it. This one has personality in spades. Crisp and vibrant, with lemon curd, white stone fruit, apple, pear and a tropical pineapple lift that makes it immediately, irresistibly drinkable. Night-harvested fruit, cool fermentation, bottled fresh to capture every ounce of that delicate, aromatic character. Everything done to preserve the wine's natural energy and make sure what ends up in the glass tastes exactly like it should. A mineral flint quality and lacey sherbet acidity run underneath everything, with a subtle saline texture that keeps the finish mouthwatering and completely alive. This is the bottle for long lunches, warm evenings and any occasion that calls for something lively, fresh and a little bit unexpected. Seafood. Antipasto. Absolutely nothing at all. All excellent options. Grab a few.

1x Nova Vita Wines Firebird Pinot Gris 2024
White — Pinot Gris
Adelaide Hills — Australia
This gorgeous Gris comes off a single vineyard, split across two separate blocks, and the extra time spent on skins and lees is exactly why you get that gorgeous deep straw colour and almost unrivalled texture. Some producers buy in fruit and call it a day. This lot grows every grape themselves, picks it themselves, then hand-crushes each one back at the winery - a level of control that borders on obsessive, but it means nothing gets left to chance between vine and glass. The palate is broad and textural, pear, quince and ripe pear all doing their thing, with a firm line of acidity keeping it from getting too soft. Give it a bit of time in the glass and it just keeps opening up, revealing more complexity the longer you sit with it. Drink it over the next couple of years, or push it to four if you've got the patience - either way, this is Pinot Gris with actual substance behind it.

Padthaway — Australia
This chardonnay is buttery, rich, peachy, flinty, rounded and ready for a good time, packing all kinds of punches in a sensationally smashable outfit. Padthaway is undoubtedly an underdog region. Not for lack of quality or passion, which comes in bucketloads here. Head inland to find this little gem of an area where the limestone and sandy soils cover the landscape: the beating heart of some outstanding value wines. Consider yourself warned, mofo: deals like this should not be taken for granted.
