1x Brand & Sons Yates Cabernet Sauvignon 2024

Red — Cabernet Sauvignon

Coonawarra — Australia

From Coonawarra's 'mid-west' comes a cabernet with down-to-earth character that slowly but surely ruins all other Coonawarra cabs. Weighty but vibrant, brimming with cherry, blackcurrant, after-dinner mint and that unmistakable chocolate ripple biscuit richness. Ripe berry fruit lifted by juicy acidity, framed in fine tannins that tighten beautifully at the finish. Cool, lingering freshness woven with blackcurrant pastille and powdered chocolate - this is textbook contemporary Coonawarra. Plush, powerful, persistent. Dense blackberry pastilles and mulberry with tobacco, mocha, fennel and clove complexity. Dusty tannins coat the palate from coast to coast, while judicious oak hints at where bottle age will take this beauty - give it a good decant and you'll be well-rewarded... leave it a few years and you'll be in heaven.

You'd pay $80 full price.

1x Reschke Cellar Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Red — Cabernet Sauvignon

Coonawarra — Australia

This family winery have been landowners in Coonawarra for over 100 years. They are Coonawarra experts and the jewel in their crown is, of course, cabernet sauvignon. Their wines consistently score highly with critics and this 2020 cellar release is a showcase of a deep understanding of the land and masterstroke winemaking.

The blackberry fruit concentration is immense and elevated by fine, dancing tannin. It wouldn't be Coonawarra without the marriage of mint and tobacco, rounding out mouth-feel and driving complexity. This is fantastic drinking now and will age gracefully for another decade.

You'd pay $65 full price.

1x Auld Family Wines 'The Ernie' Single Vineyard Shiraz 2023

Red — Shiraz

Barossa — Australia

96 points and a 4.2 Vivino Rating are absolutely nothing to shake a stick at. All the hallmarks of classic Barossa shiraz are right here. Generous, bold and packed full of flavour, we're unbelievably stoked with how this vintage is drinking (already)!

The Barossa Valley is home to quite a few multi-generational wine families. There are legacies as far as the eye can see, stretching across the Barossa plains and rooted as deep as the oldest vineyards. The Aulds are one such family, with the current generation Sam and Jock paying tribute to their lineage who were planting Australian vineyards in the mid 1800's. Each sip tells a story of sun-soaked vineyards, family traditions, and a relentless pursuit of quality. After the first taste of Ernie shiraz you won't be looking back.

1x Pertaringa 'Belonging to the Hills' Shiraz 2024

Red — Shiraz

McLaren Vale — Australia

An instant staple of the cellar. This one is completely irresistible. A normal afternoon tasting at the Mofo tasting bench was quickly interrupted when this wine was poured. Suddenly, all attention was caught, and the moment savoured. Bec Hardy, you've done it again. The Pertaringa name is no stranger to the Aussie household. The iconic Hardy family are to wine what vegemite is to toast: a perfect match. So, to land this beauty from the hands of Bec Hardy is monumental for us, and we couldn't be more pleased. This is McLaren Shiraz through and through, with densely packed dark chocolate and fresh roasted coffee exploding on the nose. The palate follows through just as true, layered with preserved plums, dark forest berries and a lick of vanillin softness. There's one word for this wine, and it's awesome.

You'd pay $60 full price.

1x Pirramimma Heritage Shiraz 2023

Red — Shiraz

McLaren Vale — Australia

If you don’t know by now, we think it’s time for you to loop yourself in. The Pirramimma Limited Edition Shiraz comes from the fruit out of the famous “War Horse” and “Ironstone” blocks. The vines are old and what they lack in quantity (yield), they make up for in superb quality. Full bodied, but balanced with pepper and spice, there are just so many layers to discover in this wine. Laden with luscious, ripe blackberries, earthy blackcurrants, mocha, hints of cedar and a dollop of liquorice, you’re in for a treat with this divine, velvety red.

1x Mitolo Lupo Shiraz 2022

Red — Shiraz

McLaren Vale — Australia

A new staple. This lively shiraz showcases Mitolo's ability to create a point of interest in every wine. Initially bright and energetic with notes of violet and dark cherry but with underlying savoury aspects and fine tannins. A nuanced and thoroughly drinkable wine.
This year was all quality. 2022 brought a near-perfect growing season to McLaren Vale, a rare vintage that brings both high yields and also, concentrated, high quality fruit. The Lupo is a wine that shows us what McLaren Vale is all about - good fruit, put in good barrels, creating good wine. There's bright but dense plum and cherry flavours interwoven with seamless oak and pleasant lingering tannins. If you're a fan of Mitolo, or even the region in general, then this is one you've got to try.

1x Atlas Wines Section 32 GSM 2022

Red — GSM

Barossa — Australia

Yep, this is what Aussie grenache blends are all about. Depth of flavour, palate weight, silky mouthfeel and bursting with ripe, juicy fruits. A simply gorgeous wine for pretty much any time of night (or day) - no judgement here.
Some things are just meant to be together; Vegemite and cheese, bacon and eggs, grenache, shiraz and mataro. There's a reason winemakers have been blending these grapes for hundreds, if not thousands, of years. Grenache brings juicy, jubey fruit and a smooth, silky mouthfeel. Shiraz brings spice, palate weight and a bit of grunt (this is Australia after all). Mataro (or mourvédre) brings a savoury earthiness, beautiful aromatics and structural acid. After months of painstaking blending and many, many taste tests, we get this wonderful little drop: A complex and complete wine that's soft enough for pinot drinkers and gutsy enough for old school shiraz drinkers. If you like energetic, vibrant wines, drink it young. If you like savoury, brooding wines, wait 5 years. The choice is yours!

You'd pay $40 full price.

1x Rymill Striking Colt Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

Red — Cabernet Sauvignon

Coonawarra — Australia

This is the cabernet you reach for when you’re making something decent for dinner but don’t feel like opening a “special occasion” bottle. Splash a bit into the Bolognese, have a glass while it simmers, then open a fresh one for the table without a second thought. It’s classic Coonawarra in feel, from a producer the locals know well. Weeknights are sorted! Medium-bodied, blackcurrant-led, with that regional freshness keeping things tidy. There’s a touch of oak in the mix, just enough to round things out without turning it into a project wine. This is cellar-door stockpiling territory. The sort of bottle you’d happily grab by the dozen because you know exactly what you’re getting every time - reliable, tasty, and easy to work into the week. Good wine, good price, good company. That’s the brief, and this one smashes it.

You'd pay $20 full price.

1x Peter Drayton Wildstreak Chardonnay 2025

White — Chardonnay

Hunter Valley — Australia

When it comes to white wines, the Hunter Valley can get pigeon holed as a semillon-only region, but that's simply not the case. The chardonnays out of this famed region are world class, too. Creamy, rich, nutty, a little bit of an old-school style. Wonderful stuff. Palate weight reigns supreme - Australian palates demand it, Australian producers deliver it. The creamy, nutty mid-palate of this wine is to die for. Vanilla, cashew butter, roasted marshmallow - the whole shebang. The fruit is pulpy and ripe and brilliantly balanced with the brightness of the acid. A well crafted wine from a Hunter icon; textured, full, complex, complete.

1x Sorby Adams HandCrafted Fiano 2026

White — Fiano

Clare Valley — Australia

Fiano is Australia's new sweetheart - and for good reason! Initially brought over from Sicily this grape is BUILT for the Australian sun - both to grow, and drink, in! Aromatic, medium-bodied with zesty lime, fresh rock melon and green apple seamlessly combining with natural acidity and clean, savoury finish. It's the ultimate table white - you'd be hard pressed to find a food that this doesn't pair well with. This captures everything Fiano should be (Australian or otherwise) - citrusy granny smith apple character dominates while subtle pastry complexity adds another dimension. Aromatic and medium-bodied, with the aforementioned zesty lime and fresh rock melon join green apple flavours seamlessly combining with natural acidity and a clean, savoury finish. Pair with Sicilian-style food - prawn risotto, fennel and orange salad, grilled sardines. Oh, and olives, just stuff as many olives in your mouth as you possibly can then have a sip of this bad-boy... heaven.

You'd pay $30 full price.

1x Claymore Joshua Tree Riesling 2025

White — Riesling

Clare Valley — Australia

Watervale is genuinely up there as a premier sub-region of the Clare Valley for top-notch Aussie Riesling. And the fact that you can snag it for this price is nothing short of incredible. We’re talking drive, complexity, fruit purity – the works. This Riz won an 'Elite' recognition at International Wine Challenge, so we need not say much more. There’s orange blossom, jasmine and a touch of mandarin oil enchanting you on the nose to start. The palate doesn’t disappoint either, with lemon zest, lime, a cool minerality and clean, slatey finish. You can cellar this one, too, no problem. It’s gotta be some of the best value in all Aussie wine.

You'd pay $25 full price.

1x Nova Vita Wines Firebird Pinot Gris 2024

White — Pinot Gris

Adelaide Hills — Australia

This gorgeous Gris comes off a single vineyard, split across two separate blocks, and the extra time spent on skins and lees is exactly why you get that gorgeous deep straw colour and almost unrivalled texture. Some producers buy in fruit and call it a day. This lot grows every grape themselves, picks it themselves, then hand-crushes each one back at the winery - a level of control that borders on obsessive, but it means nothing gets left to chance between vine and glass. The palate is broad and textural, pear, quince and ripe pear all doing their thing, with a firm line of acidity keeping it from getting too soft. Give it a bit of time in the glass and it just keeps opening up, revealing more complexity the longer you sit with it. Drink it over the next couple of years, or push it to four if you've got the patience - either way, this is Pinot Gris with actual substance behind it.

You'd pay $25 full price.
