Why do we love this case?
We see an absolute shed-load of Shiraz at Vinomofo, literally. After countless tastings and plenty of robust debate, we've eventually settled on a line-up of wines that represent the highest-quality, most-awarded and, very importantly, most delicious, Shiraz that we have access to, right now! Whether it's a 96pt Dalwhinnie Moonambel or a 97pt Barossa flagship - we've got you covered.
1x Arila Gardens Single Vineyard Shiraz 2023
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
If you’ve ever wondered what peak Barossa shiraz tastes like, this is your answer. Straight outta Moppa – the Barossa’s northern star – this single-vineyard stunner is all about power meeting precision. We’re talking serious fruit intensity, fine structure, and enough wow-factor to silence even your most wine-snobby mate. It’s a deep, brooding magenta in the glass (you can already tell it means business), and the nose is a knockout - layers of black and red fruit, warm baking spice, milk chocolate, and a hint of toasted pastry just to keep things decadent. It’s like walking into a Barossa bakehouse run by rockstars. Take a sip and it’s game on - lush mulberry, morello cherry, and boysenberry roll across the palate, wrapped in silky, superfine tannins that glide rather than grip. The balance is spot on - ripe and plush but with the kind of structure that screams long life ahead. This is a wine built for the long haul, 15+ years if you’ve got the patience. Or if you’re more of an instant gratification type, decant it, pour it, and watch the room go quiet.
You’d pay $90 full price.

1x Richard Hamilton The Surgeon Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
This is one of those 'just wait until this arrives on your doorstep' type of wines - you'll have to double check the name on the label. This winemaker has been growing grapes and making wines before McLaren Vale shiraz was even cool (can you believe there was such a time?!) His name has become synonymous with high-quality fruit and careful, consistent winemaking. Tradition, meets innovation, meets deliciousness. On his way to awarding this beautiful beast 97pts, Ray Jordan waxed lyrical about the complexity, refinement and balanced power of the wine, we tend to agree with Ray on this one - beautifully done. Power, poise, precision and, here's we come in, fantastic value. This is a lot of wine for the price and, as good old Ray noted, will cellar for 15+ years - should you feel the need.
You’d pay $90 full price.

1x Vintage Longbottom Hallmark Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
This is McLaren Vale shiraz with its collar popped - cool, composed and quietly confident. Lavender, thyme and star anise on the nose, with plum, cocoa and liquorice flowing across a silky palate. Aged in French puncheons, it's all class. We're talking plush plum, dark cocoa and a gentle lick of liquorice. There’s spice from the oak, sure, but it never overshadows the fruit. It's graceful, finely tuned and self-assured - everything we love about McLaren Vale, right there in the glass. This one could age for as long as you patience lasts, but when it's drinking like this right now - you'll have a hard time leaving it alone...
You’d pay $85 full price.

Tasting Notes
1x Quin Wines Eden Valley Shiraz 2020
Red — Shiraz
Eden Valley — Australia
This is Eden (Barossa) shiraz showing both sides of its personality - luscious and powerful, finessed and structured. The kind of wine that rewards attention but doesn't demand it. The nose gives you blueberry, mulberries, slate, violets and mushroomy notes – earthy, complex, and genuinely intriguing. The palate delivers a soft yet grainy tannin structure throughout with great fruit drive and length that keeps you coming back for more. Who's this for then? Well, given its versatility, we'd be getting this wine in front of pretty much anyone that's ever looked an Australian shiraz in the eye without flinching! Age for 10 more years if you like, any time from now until 2035 will be the perfect time to pop this beauty.
You’d pay $75 full price.

1x Tyrrell's Stevens Single Vineyard Shiraz 2023
Red — Shiraz
Hunter Valley — Australia
When Stevens Vineyard shiraz earns 95 points, you're dealing with Hunter Valley at its absolute best. The vintage conditions were near perfect. Abundant spring rain provided great soil moisture heading into the dry summer months, while the harvest period was stress-free without adverse conditions. And here's the result - an exceptional Hunter Valley vintage that produced well-balanced, complex wines with remarkable fruit purity. Hand harvested on 20 February at the coldest part of the day, fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks before nine months maturation in a single four-year-old French oak cask, then five more months in puncheons. The winemaking respects both the fruit and the vineyard's reputation. Huon Hooke awarded this 95 points, calling it "outstanding wine" with "intensity, concentration and drive, but not at the expense of elegance." Bright red with purple hues, sweet red fruit aromatics highlighted with cranberry, velvety tannins coating the palate with directional dark cherry and a clean, neat finish.
You’d pay $60 full price.

This is a love letter to the Eden Valley (Barossa's most famous sub-region). This showcases what happens when you treat each vineyard like the individual superstar it is. Four different parcels, each picked, fermented separately, then painstakingly selected to make sure every single one is delivering its best expression of the region. After a good stint in oak - this captures the essence of Eden Valley shiraz at its finest.
