Why do we love this case?
We see an absolute shed-load of Shiraz at Vinomofo, literally. After countless tastings and plenty of robust debate, we've eventually settled on a line-up of wines that represent the highest-quality, most-awarded and, very importantly, most delicious, Shiraz that we have access to, right now! Whether it's a 96pt Dalwhinnie Moonambel or a 97pt Barossa flagship - we've got you covered.
1x Thistledown Quiet Envoy Shiraz 2023
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
With 5 Red Stars, and a place in both the Real Review and Halliday's top 100 wineries, Thistledown have proved they're real deal. If you still had any questions, this wine, of "terrific weight", and, "impressive complexity", will answer all of them. Barossa shiraz at its boldest and purest. Named in honour the legendary 1977 Voyager space mission's 'quiet envoy'; in the words of Thisledown, "Voyager reminds us that however far we travel, and though time and distance may dim our youthful glow, the wisdom of age and experience is to be valued". But don’t let the philosophy fool you - this is vibrant, juicy, and very much alive. We’re talking succulent raspberry and blackcurrant, layered with subtle spice and that signature Barossa gloss. Bold, weighty, yet dangerously drinkable, it’s a wine that feels both timeless and totally modern. A smooth operator with a long orbit. Ready for lift-off?

Tasting Notes
1x Chaffey Bros. Wine Co Elijah Shiraz 2020
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
This is Barossa shiraz with a serious sense of purpose. Grown on rocky, granite-rich soils and picked for power, purity and polish, it's absolute chocker-block with deep purple fruit, dark plums and wild blackberry. The palate is plush and densely packed but never overblown - lively tannins give structure, while a thread of vibrant acidity keeps everything in check. Baking spices, sage, black pepper and a lick of dark chocolate round out the frame, with a graphite edge adding mineral tension. It’s generous, intense and deeply satisfying - a modern take on a classic style, with years of life ahead.
You’d pay $85 full price.

Tasting Notes
1x Reynella Basket Pressed Shiraz 2019
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
Ken Garrett from Wine Pilot called it superb. Sam Kim from Wine Orbit called it wonderfully structured and richly layered. Janet from HR called it "bloody gorgeous". Suffice to say, this 95pts McLaren will have you waxing lyrical and smacking your lips from the first drop to the last. Brilliantly bold, with silky tannins and layers of dense blue and black fruits, yet balanced with undertones of aniseed and oak, this Reynella Basket Pressed shiraz is as good as they get. Perhaps even better. At its best now and until 2034.
You’d pay $76 full price.

1x Mitolo G.A.M Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
Concentration, spice, and all things nice. Perfumed red cherries and plums, with a smooth chocolate-like texture, and those cooling breezes we know and love of the McLaren Vale leaving you with a wine of succulence and vibrant freshness.
Year in, year out, this wine knocks our socks off but we've been impatiently waiting for the 2021 vintage. It could be McLaren Vale etching it's way further and further into our hearts. It could be the fastidious and integrated usage of oak barrels. It could be because we flat out just love shiraz. Or, we could love it because you folks love it. And we love being able to share this wine with YOU!
You’d pay $69 full price.

Tasting Notes
1x Penny's Hill Footprint Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
The detail here doesn't just extend to a single-vineyard, we're drilling down to fruit selected from a handful of rows of low-yielding vines. Just a few words that have been used to describe this wine include "seamless", "robust", and "formidable". There's absolutely nothing stopping this wine from achieving greatness, and it flies in the face of most others of its kind. Super complex layers of dark chocolate, cocoa powder, salted liquorice, blackcurrant leaf, slate, and tobacco. Look, we're not sure that we'll be so lucky to get this wine again - so get in while you can.
You’d pay $65 full price.

1x Wolf Blass Grey Label Shiraz 2018
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
It is no secret that we are big fans of McLaren Vale shiraz, so forgive us if we wax a little lyrical here and show a little bias. The grey label shiraz is an absolute stunner and exactly what we want when indulging in a shiraz from the 'Vale — plushness, with power, with richness, and at six years of age it is entering a beautiful drinking window. A window that you can be happy to pop open at your next family bbq, the in-laws will mark you down as their favourite, Dad will be nudging you every 20 mins for a top up, Mum will be telling everyone how thoughtful you are. Now, your siblings might be a little jealous, but you, you will be chuffed. Chuffed with your purchase and the other five bottles you've got stashed away.
You’d pay $35 full price.
