Why do we love this case?
We see an absolute shed-load of Chardy here at Vinomofo, literally. After countless tastings and plenty of robust debate, we've eventually settled on a line-up of wines that represent the highest-quality, most-awarded and, very importantly, most delicious, Chardonnay that we have access to, right now! Whether it’s a powerful Margaret River standout or a vibrant Yarra Valley beauty — with premium South Australian expressions in the mix — we’ve got you covered.
1x Aylesbury Estate The Pater Series Chardonnay 2024
White — Chardonnay
Ferguson Valley — Australia
Full-bodied and luxuriously textural, the richness of this wine is masterfully balanced by the beautiful natural acidity and chalky minerality. This bad-boy doesn’t play it safe, and thank goodness for that. This one's been treated to the full winemaker’s toolkit: cool morning pick, whole-bunch pressed, fermented in new and seasoned oak, partial malo and plenty of bâtonnage for that creamy, layered mouthfeel. So what do we end up with? Ripe peaches and nectarines jump out first, then a soft layers of cashew and brioche. On the palate, it’s stone fruit all the way, golden peach and lemon curd all supported by toasty oak and a zesty citrus line that keeps things fresh and focused. It’s concentrated, polished, and totally moreish. A wine that brings the opulence but never loses its balance. Margs chardonnay fans will be huge on this one. This is seriously special...

1x Atlus Rise Ascension Chardonnay 2024
White — Chardonnay
Margaret River — Australia
Hand picked fruit, whole bunch press to juice, and fermented with wild yeast. Extended ageing on lees in 30% new French oak. This is stylish wine to be sure. Round and shapely like it's regional compatriots, but with a certain slick French styling that shows off a bit of acidity and mineral complexity. That time in barrel provides a subtle backbone of cedar and structure, completing a lovely drink that exudes freshness but certainly won't fade away with a bit of cellar time.

Tasting Notes
1x Helen & Joey Alena Chardonnay 2024
White — Chardonnay
Yarra Valley — Australia
Ripe mango and yellow nectarines dance with a star anise spice and notes of vanilla infused panna cotta. There's a touch of cultured butter and freshly baked croissant to the aroma, which will keep you coming back for more. The texture is bold and unashamed, while still holding tightly onto that fresh Yarra Valley acidity. There's a sense that these wines are reluctantly released from the cellar, but the waiting game always pays off when you sink your teeth into it. This is a remarkable wine, and we've only managed to get a small amount to share with you.

1x Warramunda Estate Single Vineyard Chardonnay 2024
White — Chardonnay
Yarra Valley — Australia
A brilliant wine. Chardonnay that feels premium in every way. The weight. The length. The way it changes and evolves as it breathes a little. The sheer amount of complexity in every glass. We're decidedly in cooler fruits here; green apples, pears, green grapes, some grapefruit, plentiful citrus. That fruit is stretched across some tightly wound, nervy acidity that snakes it's way up the palate to eventually define the long, fantastic finish. This is a wine that will have you coming back for more.

1x Pirramimma Heritage Limited Edition Chardonnay 2024
White — Chardonnay
McLaren Vale — Australia
We don’t need to tell you about Pirramimma, do we? By now if you’re a regular of Vinomofo, we’re betting that you’ve tried a drop or two from this legendary winery. To say their red wines have been fan favourites would be to severely understate the cult following of this brand. Yes mofo, their white wines are truly as iconic as their reds. This is as abundant as you might expect (or crave), abound with notes of toast, crème brûlée, hazelnut and ripe peaches. If chardonnay is a red wine lover’s white, then this has got to be the one.

Tasting Notes
1x Orlando Lyndale Chardonnay 2022
White — Chardonnay
Adelaide Hills — Australia
This Adelaide Hills Chardonnay 2022 is a sharp, modern cool climate white that nails the balance between flavour and finesse. It opens with ripe peach, pear and citrus, then swings into subtle struck match, orange peel and gentle spice for extra intrigue. The palate is medium bodied and tightly shaped, with a saline mineral line and fine acidity keeping everything fresh, while smart oak use adds a soft vanilla gloss and texture. It feels polished and confident without tipping into heaviness. A classy Hills Chardonnay that drinks beautifully now and keeps you coming back.
