Why do we love this case?
We see an absolute shed-load of Chardy here at Vinomofo, literally. After countless tastings and plenty of robust debate, we've eventually settled on a line-up of wines that represent the highest-quality, most-awarded and, very importantly, most delicious, Chardonnay that we have access to, right now! Whether it's a life-changing Margaret River rockstar or a gorgeously matured Mornington maverick - we've got you covered.
1x Churchview Estate Bartondale Chardonnay 2024
White — Chardonnay
Margaret River — Barossa
Oh so chardy, oh so good! Beautifully rich and rounded with that classic buttery twist and finely balanced acidity to allow the fruit to shine. It is wines like this that cement Margaret River as one of our favourite regions, especially for chardonnay. They so very often produce some of our country's most outstanding examples, and no matter the price point you can find enjoyment all up and down the line. Better yet, they pair magnificently with a range of foods, it's silly not to have a bottle on hand and in the fridge ready to pop open and compliment that creamy carbonara, that roast chicken, a risotto or a cheeky cheeseboard on a Friday night with friends. A wine that'll have fans no matter the crowd.

1x Mr Hugh Chardonnay 2024
White — Chardonnay
Mornington Peninsula — Australia
This is a wine that really captures what Mornington Peninsula in an excellent year looks like - quality fruit, skilled winemaking and a final product that'll knock your socks clean off. A chardonnay with impeccable balance and poise combined with deep, precise concentrated power. The nose offers slightly savoury chalky character alongside light stone fruit, and a fine lime zest that adds brightness and lift. It's a compelling combination that draws you straight in for the moment it first passes your lips. The palate is where this really shines - deeply concentrated fruit intensity that somehow retains that distinctive Mornington linear structure. Chalky acidity works its magic throughout, sustaining momentum through to an extended finish that just keeps going forever. There's a real lip-smacking feel in your mouth that makes you immediately reach for another sip. That said, this wine is not finished with us just yet - this'll continue to develop and grow for the next 5 - 8 years... come along for the ride!

1x Punch Wines Lance's Vineyard Chardonnay 2022
White — Chardonnay
Yarra Valley — Barossa
The result of superior vineyards and incredible winemaking. A textural chardy that balances fruit with craftsmanship in the winery like few are able. There’s white peach and nectarine, with subtle toasty richness and seamless but lengthy finish. Punch Wines are quite possibly the most exciting boutique Yarra producer. They make some wicked wines well worthy of more recognition. This particular vineyard, to give you an idea, is near Christmas Hills, and is one of the oldest of the Yarra Valley. In short, it’s a bloody good spot to grow grapes. This chardy was whole bunch pressed directly into barrel, where it spent months resting on its lees and building all that toasty, rich complexity. This is not a showy wine, elegantly understated just like its maker. It calmly reveals its hand, holding all aces. Its probably got a few more up it’s sleeve for the coming years, too. Oh, and production numbers are remarkably low, so don’t delay.

1x Barringwood Chardonnay 2024
White — Chardonnay
Tasmania — Barossa
This comes from one of Tasmania's best producers - genuine elite territory. Small operation means limited production, which translates to genuinely hard-to-get bottles. When you find them, you grab them. We've got stone fruit and citrus zest rolling through a creamy, nutty base - all carried by that trademark Tassie acidity that keeps it crisp and focused. One that's just a worthy of analysis as it is of pure, unthinking enjoyment!
You’d pay $50 full price.

1x Boat O'Craigo Black Spur Chardonnay 2023
White — Chardonnay
Yarra Valley — Barossa
Four different clones contributing to a single wine means layered complexity from the ground up. Each clone brings distinct characteristics - combined, they create something more interesting than your average everyday chardonnay could deliver. Fresh citrus brightness lifts the florals and richness, creating aromatic complexity that draws you in. The real payoff comes on the finish - long and textural, coating your palate while maintaining energy and drive. This isn't just pretty aromatics followed by disappointing follow-through. The textural component delivers substance that matches the elegant presentation. In short: Yarra Valley chardonnay at it's bright, textural best.

1x Driftwood Estate Artifacts Chardonnay 2024
White — Chardonnay
Margaret River — Barossa
Big, broad citrus flavours lead the fruit profile with some ripe red apple, nectarine, and tropical melon flavours following tightly behind. The oak profile is steeped in vanilla bean and sweet spice, and in classic Margs style its present but never over-bearing. A bit of wafty sea breeze (is that the Indian Ocean we’re picking up?) coupled with a steely minerality that chimes in on the finish. While this is a new wine to us, the producer is an absolute Mofo fave.
