Why do we love this case?
We see an absolute shed-load of Cab here at Vinomofo, literally. After countless tastings and plenty of robust debate, we've eventually settled on a line-up of wines that represent the highest-quality, most-awarded and, very importantly, most delicious, Cabernet that we have access to, right now! Whether it's a 2014 Bordeaux Supérieur or a Hollick, 96pt Coonawarra masterpiece - we've got you covered.
1x Hollick Ravenswood Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
All of their reds see a little bottle age, and we’re looking at 2.5 years for this stunner before release. That comes after a good 18 months in premium French oak barrels. You do the math, Mofo. It’s rich and intense, with a glut of sophistication. Toasty spices and a touch of anise meet the menthol, blackcurrant core of this beauty. There’s a little touch of tobacco and earth which are starting to reveal themselves, promising a long and interesting life ahead. Superbly bold, a perfect reminder of Coonawarra’s charming force.
You’d pay $95 full price.

1x Jim Brand Wines The Pursuit 'Museum Release' Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
Perfection - we expect no less from this standout producer. An iconic name of Coonawarra, and a wine to follow suit. 8 years under the belt has this beauty primed and raring to go.
Whenever we have this producer at the tasting bench, you can be sure there's a few of us salivating over the wines. This cabernet is always an absolute standout, and we all nod in agreement that this has to be one of the best value cabernets we've ever sold. Ever. An extroverted red which refuses to back down, this wine is fragrant with dark forest fruits seducing the nose, while traces of mint and cedar oak add a twist of regional character. A torrent of ripe plum, dark berry and blackcurrant make their presence known on the palate - clearly dominating but steering clear of overwhelming the tastebuds. The finish is superb with great length and a dry finale. An outstanding example of how to balance power with restraint, and succeed - this magnificent cab shows others how it’s done.
You’d pay $80 full price.

1x Château Laronde Desormes Bordeaux Supérieur 2014
Red — Cabernet Blend
Bordeaux — France
Left bank Bordeaux is some of the best wine in the world. That's no overstatement, and we doubt anyone would dispute this fact. The problem with these wines is that they need time to settle into themselves and really show their true colours, also, they're usually very, very, very expensive. You guessed it, that's where we come in! We've done the aging for you, this wasn't a forgotten about wine that's been sitting in the back of a truck for 10 years - this is carefully, professionally aged Bordeaux, we've even taken care of the price for you. All you have to do is pop the cork and let yourself be transported to the old world.
You’d pay $55 full price.

Tasting Notes
1x Punch Lance's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Yarra Valley — Australia
A deep plummy red in the glass, this Yarra stunner is packed with cassis, blackberry, dark chocolate and freshly-turned earth, all with that classic cigar box note dancing in behind. A tight, structured core of fine tannins and bright acidity promises years of graceful development, but there’s already plenty to love if you’re swirling this in your glass right now. Aromatically, it’s got tomato leaf, wild herbs and briar, all the classic varietal notes, and a plushness beginning to build across the mid-palate. Dense, detailed, and immaculately structured, it’s still in its youth but showing clear signs of greatness to come. Cellar it if you want , this will reward the patience, but drinking now will bring plenty of joy.
You’d pay $55 full price.
