Why do we love this case?
We see an absolute shed-load of Cab here at Vinomofo, literally. After countless tastings and plenty of robust debate, we've eventually settled on a line-up of wines that represent the highest-quality, most-awarded and, very importantly, most delicious, Cabernet that we have access to, right now! Whether it's a 2016 Bordeaux Supérieur or a 96pt Margs masterpiece - we've got you covered.
1x Reschke Cellar Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
This family winery have been landowners in Coonawarra for over 100 years. They are Coonawarra experts and the jewel in their crown is, of course, cabernet sauvignon. Their wines consistently score highly with critics and this 2020 cellar release is a showcase of a deep understanding of the land and masterstroke winemaking.
The blackberry fruit concentration is immense and elevated by fine, dancing tannin. It wouldn't be Coonawarra without the marriage of mint and tobacco, rounding out mouth-feel and driving complexity. This is fantastic drinking now and will age gracefully for another decade.

1x Handpicked Regional Selections Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
Ask a Coonawarra cabernet tragic where the best cab terroir in the world is. They'll answer immediately, without blinking. And honestly, wines like this make it very hard to disagree. Seven years of bottle age have done exactly what good Coonawarra Cab does with time - the fruit has deepened and settled, the tannins have refined, and everything has come together into something genuinely compelling. That narrow ribbon of terra rossa soil in South Australia's deep south has been producing world-class cabernet for decades, and the 2017 vintage is one of the region's better recent efforts. Dark berry fruit, a classic choc-mint character that's become something of a regional signature, blackcurrant, violet and spice on the nose, and a textured, savoury palate with fine tannins and a long, persistent finish. Structured and complex without being the least bit intimidating. This is Coonawarra doing what Coonawarra does best. Drink it now with something from the grill or put it away for another five years. Either way, you're winning.

1x Katnook Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2024
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
Ok, deep breaths. This is happening! We're going to have to stay focussed for this one.. What a pleasure it is to taste such an iconic Coonawarra cabernet. This is a special occasion wine. Whether that occasion is this Friday night or your next big life-milestone, that’s up to you. What you can be assured of is this cabernet sauvignon is up for it and will rise to the grandest occasion. There isn’t much that’s been left out of this wine; the guest list of aromas and flavours reads like an oscars afterparty. The almost impenetrable deep purple colour is an early sign that it’s a heavy hitter that’s not afraid to swing the bat. It is built to go the distance so don’t be afraid to tuck it away in the back of your cellar. If you’re looking for something very special to enjoy in 10, 20 years plus then this has got the legs if you’ve got the patience. It’s ripe red berries, toasty oak and vanilla on the nose. It evolves with some time in the glass or better still, in a decanter - so plan ahead and give it plenty of time to unfurl. Throughout the length and breadth of the palate this wine’s complexity reveals itself in waves of mint, coffee, an array of ripe berries, cassis, cigar box characters and chocolate with a dollop of double cream, just for good measure.

1x Brand & Sons Yates Vineyard Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2023
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
There’s something unmistakably Coonawarra about this Cabernet (and it's not just the name 'Brand' stamped all over the label – red earth, a cool lift of mint, and that plush core of blackcurrant fruit. It’s a wine with both boots-on-the-ground authenticity and its own form of gutsy finesse. Red earth caked under fingernails. Akubra tilted just right. This is the real deal. From Coonawarra's 'mid-west' comes a cabernet with down-to-earth character that slowly but surely ruins all other Coonawarra cabs. Weighty but vibrant, brimming with cherry, blackcurrant, after-dinner mint and that unmistakable chocolate ripple biscuit richness. Ripe berry fruit lifted by juicy acidity, framed in fine tannins that tighten beautifully at the finish. Cool, lingering freshness woven with blackcurrant pastille and powdered chocolate - this is textbook contemporary Coonawarra.
Plush, powerful, persistent. Dense blackberry pastilles and mulberry with tobacco, mocha, fennel and clove complexity. Dusty tannins coat the palate from coast to coast, while judicious oak hints at where bottle age will take this beauty - give it a good decant and you'll be well-rewarded... leave it a few years and you'll be in heaven.
You'd pay $80 full price.

1x Parker Estate Abbey Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
An exceptional showcase of time and place. This wine could only be from Coonawarra, only from 2021 and - if we're being real - only from Parker Estate. This wine will be drinking beautifully from right now until 2035 - to make a conservative estimate. Sourced from Parker Estate's renowned ‘Abbey’ vineyard in southern Coonawarra - where the unique microclimate delivers a longer ripening season and the world-famous terra rossa soils make their mark on every single grape. The result? A tighter tannin structure, deeper fruit concentration, and serious cellar-worthy swagger. That said, this wine is drinking wonderfully already, at such a young age, and those who like their wines with a bit of grunt will find happiness in its graceful austerity. Or, if you're one for cellaring, dig a whole in the backyard, set you're alarm for 2035 and forget about it. The magic of stelvin-sealed bottle development will take care of the rest.

1x Xanadu DJL Cabernet Sauvignon 2022
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Margaret River — Australia
2022 was an outstanding vintage in Margaret River - a cold, wet winter followed by a warm, generous summer produced fruit of exceptional concentration and quality. And in Xanadu's hands, that fruit has become something genuinely outstanding. Blackcurrant, mulberry and dark fruit at the core, with cedary oak and a firm, fine-grained tannin structure that gives it both immediate appeal and real cellaring potential. Powerful and energetic, but with an elegance and focus that stops it from ever feeling heavy-handed. Drink it now with something from the grill or put it away for a few years and watch it develop. Either way, for Margaret River Cabernet at this level, the price is an absolute gift.
