2x KIN Adelaide Hills Gruner Veltliner 2022
White — Gruner Veltliner
Adelaide Hills — Barossa
Well, we just adore Gruner Veltliner. And we adore the Adelaide Hills. And we adore KIN winemaker, Bec Dugmore. So, it’s only fitting that we absolutely adore this wine. Plucked from the Shining Rock Vineyard in the Adelaide Hills (planted by Brian Croser in the early noughties), this is a wine that is all about freshness and longevity. It’s a little spicy, as you can often expect with any good glass of grüner, while carrying a depth of layers from citrus to apple to pear. It’s an all round pleaser that is sure to carry you whether it be a weeknight drinker or a weekend thinker.
You’d pay $32 full price.

2x Santolin Cosa Nostra Vermentino 2021
White — Vermentino
Alpine Valleys — Barossa
If you’re not already drinking vermentino then you’re missing out - not only is it delicious and interesting, but there is amazing value to be found in the varietal (case in point!). This is citrusy, mineral and saline; crushed oyster shell and a little bit of sea spray accents what is a lemon-lime driven aromatic profile. There is grapefruit and a bit of grassyness on offer too, think sauv blanc but a little edgier and more savoury. This is the perfect wine for anyone looking to drink beyond the ‘usual suspects’. Did we mention it’s limited, too. So get it while you can.
You’d pay $28 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Black Cocky Rico Blanco Spanish White Blend 2022
White — White Blend
Margaret River — Barossa
A white blend that bests the sum of its parts. This has complexity and depth without getting into overly heady territory, it's still a fun and delicious wine built for broad appeal. The lime and grapefruit citrus notes of the verdejo set against the more tropical sauv blanc make for a wine that wears two hats (and looks bloody good doing it). Fresh and zippy, juicy and tropical - talk about a crowd pleaser.
You’d pay $28 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Twin Valleys Fiano 2022
White — Fiano
King Valley — Barossa
Fiano is one of the newer Italian arrivals on the scene and we couldn’t be happier that it’s here. Fiano is a versatile grape and suits a lot of growing conditions, from the Mediterranean climate of McLaren Vale to the alpine freshness of the King Valley. This KV example is a touch lighter and brighter than what you’d get from the Vale - sitting closer to grigio than say, viognier. There is still heaps of fruit and florals in this wine and acid to accompany all sorts of foods - though no doubt best with something southern Italian.
You’d pay $27 full price.

2x Domaine Gayda Flying Solo Grenache Blanc Viognier 2022
White — White Blend
France — France
Grenache blanc is a bit of a hidden gem in the world of Southern France’s white grapes, and blends well with a myriad of whites - such as viognier. Known for amazing vegan-friendly wines, Domaine Gayda produce wines of charm and elegance, and this cheeky white blend is explosive in aromatics. Floral, lively and smashable, chill it down and let the mineral palate flash flavours from apple to apricot. For lovers of white wine, this is such incredible value and a wine to charm you all the way through to the very last drop.
You’d pay $25 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x M. Chapoutier Tournon Mathilda Viognier Marsanne 2015
White — Viognier
Victoria — Barossa
A classic Rhône-style white blend made right here in Australia. Aged on lees in stainless steel, the wine is pure of fruit but laden with texture and tension. You’ll find stone fruit, minerality and even a bit of viscosity in this one. This is the kind of wine that builds in confidence with some time in bottle, so it’s a pretty big deal to have this one land with seven years to show. Pretty neat little number for your weeknight’s desires.
You’d pay $20 full price.
