1x Jeanneret Sevenhill Riesling 2024

White — Riesling

Clare Valley — Australia

One of our favourite rieslings from one of our favourite Clare producers. This spills over with citrusy goodness, both juicy and zesty. It's spent plenty of time on lees (over two months!), so this isn't some thin little number, but rather a textural wine that sits on the medium to full-bodied side of the riesling spectrum. And just like all good Clare riesling, it's ready to go today or will reward patience to the tune of a decade. Your wine! You choose how and when to drink it. We'll do the same with our case.

You'd pay $40 full price.

1x Crabtree Pomona Riesling 2024

White — Riesling

Clare Valley — Australia

Riesling is an under-rated chameleon, and this is a rare find. When the new vintage talks come up for the Crabtree Pomona riesling, I pounce on everything we can get. We’re almost at the point of licking the bottle just to get every last drop. There’s hints of orange peel and jasmine underlying the preserved lemon and lime freshness. Heaps of that roaring acid. Fresh, dry, and perfect to quench your thirst on a warm day.

You'd pay $40 full price.

1x Auld Family Wines Wilberforce Riesling 2024

White — Riesling

Eden Valley — Australia

This is a crisp, vibrant, citrusy Eden Valley riesling, but it's so much more than that. There's a hint of richness here that, coupled with the classic Eden acidity, creates a beautifully balanced wine that goes down a little too easily...
On the nose, this is a super floral wine, very much still on the zesty spectrum that you'd expect from the Eden Valley, but with a slight richness with notes of stone fruit and honey-blossom. The textural fruit and regional minerality sing in perfect harmony and set up a wine of impressive length that manages to hold on to a crisp, refreshing finish. Cellared carefully, this will comfortably continue aging and developing for another 8 to 10 years but that's the beauty of riesling isn't it - get stuck in whenever you want, it's absolutely humming right now!

You'd pay $35 full price.

1x Atlas Wines Home Block Riesling 2024

White — Riesling

Clare Valley — Australia

Zippy, zappy, zoomy riz! This is what we drink at home. Racy acidity and slatey minerality hold this in good stead for future drinking but this is such a wonderful wine to tuck into its youth that we doubt it'll make it past the summer. This is a stunning wine - zippy, lifted, aromatic rizza from the talented hands of Adam Barton at Atlas Wines (a verified Mofo fave producer). Green apple and pithy lime juice - pretty classic for the region. Limestone minerality and bristly acidity make for a playful, energetic drinking experience. It's bright and showing pure fruit expression, coupled with some floral aromatic complexity. This is super stylish and completely classic in every way.

You'd pay $35 full price.

1x Alkoomi Wines Black Label Riesling 2020

White — Riesling

Frankland River — Australia

Don't worry about longevity here, we've tried vintages of this going all the way back to 2009, and they're drinking a dream. This wine will go and go and go. Below all that delicious fruit, 'wet stone' minerality forms the baseline for what is ultimately an exciting wine full of discovery and surprise. A must drink for any fan of riesling, or indeed wine full-stop.

You'd pay $32 full price.

1x Vickery Watervale Riesling 2024

White — Riesling

Clare Valley — Australia

This Watervale riesling is another standout example of what Vickery can do with Australian Riesling. A blend of seven blocks from the (famed) Watervale sub-region of the Clare Valley, this wine displays all the classic characteristics of the sub-region. As expected there's vibrant lime citrus and white floral perfume of jasmine on the nose. The equally vibrant palate is lively, with refreshingly crisp acidity, the kind of juicy limes you can only dream of, and of course that typical distinctive Watervale minerality, with a clean and lingering finish. Perfectly enjoyable on it's own or a match made in heaven with spicy dishes or fresh seafood.

You'd pay $24 full price.

Frequently Asked Questions

Riesling is beloved by wine professionals because it's one of the most versatile and expressive grape varieties in the world. It can produce everything from bone-dry, mineral-driven wines to lusciously sweet dessert styles, all while maintaining its signature piercing acidity that makes it incredibly food-friendly. The grape's ability to reflect terroir - the unique characteristics of where it's grown - means each bottle tells a distinct story of its vineyard site. This selection showcases that diversity with wines from different regions, each expressing their own personality through citrus, floral, and mineral notes.

Riesling's naturally high acidity acts like a palate cleanser, cutting through rich, fatty foods while enhancing delicate flavours in lighter dishes. This makes it incredibly versatile at the dinner table - it can handle everything from spicy Asian cuisine to creamy seafood dishes and even complement desserts when the wine has some residual sweetness. The citrus and lime notes in this selection provide that essential acidic backbone, while the mineral complexity adds layers that won't compete with your food but rather enhance the overall dining experience.

Each region brings its own signature to Riesling, creating a fascinating spectrum of styles within this single variety. Cool climate regions tend to produce wines with more citrus intensity and mineral precision, while warmer areas might develop richer stone fruit characters like the nectarine and white peach notes found in this selection. The 'Various' regions designation means you're getting a masterclass in how terroir influences Riesling, from crisp, lime-driven expressions to more honeyed, floral interpretations that showcase the grape's incredible adaptability.

The impressive ratings, including multiple 95+ point scores from Wine Orbit and recognition from James Suckling, indicate these aren't just good Rieslings - they're exceptional examples that represent the pinnacle of the variety. These scores reflect wines that demonstrate perfect balance between fruit purity, acidity, and complexity, often from single vineyards or boutique producers who focus on quality over quantity. When critics consistently award such high scores across a selection, it suggests these wines will age beautifully and represent outstanding value for their quality level.

Start with the most citrus-forward, mineral-driven bottles to appreciate Riesling's classic profile, then progress to those showing more stone fruit and floral characteristics. Pay attention to how the different producers interpret the variety - some will emphasise the green apple and lemon zest notes, while others might showcase the honeysuckle and jasmine aromatics. The beauty of this mixed selection is discovering your personal preference within the Riesling spectrum, whether you gravitate toward the piercing, dry styles or prefer those with more generous fruit expression and subtle sweetness.
