Why do we love this case?
The wines that turned even the haughtiest of critics into star-struck fanpeople who mysteriously ‘forget to spit it out’ during a high-brow tasting panel. The concept behind this pack is pretty simple; there’s only one condition to entry - a 95 point or higher award. The vast majority need not apply. We already separate the wheat from the chaff here at the ‘fo. This is the artisan stonebaked masterwork that results.
2x School House Headmaster Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
We know that Coonawarra cabernet is sincerely age-able. That’s just part and parcel of this region’s charm. This School House cab shows the best of what the famed red clay has to offer, as it walks the tightrope between power and elegance with perfect poise. There are ripe dark fruits of plum and cassis, wrapped up in fine tannins and complimented by notes of toasty oak. It is intense, but also wonderfully balanced. We don’t need to say much more, because this is one wine that does most of the talking.
You’d pay $55 full price.

2x Haselgrove Cul Stor Shiraz Cabernets 2021
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
Multiple vintages of Haselgrove's Cul Stor shiraz blend have rushed into our warehouse and zoomed straight back out and to your front door faster than you can say ‘shiraz blended with cab sav and a splash of cab franc’. At its core, we have all the plush dark berries, plums and chocolatey goodness that you’d expect from Mclaren Vale. But the blend of cabernets is what lifts this drop way above entry level, firm tannins and a liveliness on the back palate provide wonderful length and serious structure; perfect to pair with your good old fashioned Sunday roast lamb with all the trimmings.
You’d pay $45 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Rosenvale Vineyards Estate Grown GSM 2022
Red — GSM
Barossa — Australia
Rounded and smooth whilst juicy and fragrant. This one shows us why people make blends, grenache, mataro and shiraz really are three peas in a pod and, rather than fight each other, work in harmony to create a wine that's bigger than the sum of its parts.
Rosenvale are one of our favourites from the Barossa, crafters of this rich, powerful GSM. The raspberry characteristic, derived from the grenache component, is the dominant fruit, with support from plum and blackberry hints carried by the shiraz. To round it all out, there’s a bit of allspice and earthiness thanks to the mataro. It’s bold, deep in flavour and ready to go now, or any time in the next few years.
You’d pay $40 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Hollick Old Vines Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
When it comes to cabernet, we’re happy to drop some buzzwords - Coonawarra, old vine, terra rossa, French oak. Coonawarra is arguably Australia’s greatest cabernet region. Old vines make for concentrated flavours and lower yields. Terra rossa refers to the red soil of Coonawarra that gives its wines their distinct dusty, earthy characteristic. French oak provides that perfect cedary backbone that holds together the fruit profile of cab sauv so well. So expect blackcurrant, plum, spice and chocolate on the palate carried through into an elegant finish with fine lingering tannins. We might have gone a bit heavy on the buzzwords here, but they exist for a reason.
You’d pay $40 full price.
