Why do we love this case?
The wines that turned even the haughtiest of critics into star-struck fanpeople who mysteriously ‘forget to spit it out’ during a high-brow tasting panel. The concept behind this pack is pretty simple; there’s only one condition to entry - a 95 point or higher award. The vast majority need not apply. We already separate the wheat from the chaff here at the ‘fo. This is the artisan stonebaked masterwork that results.
2x Ivyburn First Minister Shiraz 2022 750mL
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
This deeply personable shiraz expresses ripe red berries, black pepper, spice and blackcurrant . Full-bodied and complex, the ripe characteristics of rich, broad fruits, and overt chocolatey notes tell you that, odds are, you're in the great McLaren Vale region. In other words, this is a strikingly regional wine that expresses all that is great about this phenomenal region. Fragrant American oak is displayed with intensity and vibrancy and, along with an already present texture and structure, set this wine up for a very long life in the cellar. Drink now - 2035 (at least).

2x Haselgrove Cul Stor Shiraz Cabernets 2021
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
Multiple vintages of Haselgrove's Cul Stor shiraz blend have rushed into our warehouse and zoomed straight back out and to your front door faster than you can say ‘shiraz blended with cab sav and a splash of cab franc’. At its core, we have all the plush dark berries, plums and chocolatey goodness that you’d expect from Mclaren Vale. But the blend of cabernets is what lifts this drop way above entry level, firm tannins and a liveliness on the back palate provide wonderful length and serious structure; perfect to pair with your good old fashioned Sunday roast lamb with all the trimmings.
You’d pay $45 full price.

2x Monterra Reserve Barossa Valley Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
Barossa Valley — Australia
Take a parcel of A-grade Barossa Valley shiraz and give it to Mike Farmilo, one of the best winemakers in the country (did someone say, ex- Grange, St Henri and Bin 707 winemaker?) Really, we don't need to say much more. But you can expect that this wine is ready to compete with the best of the best. Richly layered chocolate and coconut with mulberry and stewed plums harmonise with a silky smooth texture. It almost feels too good to enjoy so vigorously, like each drop should be savoured. Fortunately, we're all about enjoying life's pleasures freely, so pour us another glass.

2x Stage Door Wine Co. GSM 2023
Red — GSM
Barossa — Australia
A bouquet of cloves, leather, red fruit, and vanillan oak opens into a broad palate of slightly-confected raspberry, sour cherry, and mouth-coating, silky tannins with considerable length.
Sourced from three distinct single vineyards in the Barossa, each component is vinified separately, rigorously tasted and tested, then expertly blended into this bold Barossa beauty. With every parcel treated as a stand-alone wine, the result is a blend of serious quality.
Think of it this way: if you make fruit salad with bad fruit, the whole thing’s ruined. But start with pristine produce, and you end up with a truly standout salad. This wine? It’s exactly that, a fruit salad done right.
You’d pay $30 full price.

2x Ponting Wines The Pinnacle Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
What happens when a former Australian test captain teams up with one of the most recognisable names in Australian wine, Mr Ben Riggs? Well, you get this. Distinctive, regional and seriously powerful. Ben Riggs knows McLaren Vale like the back of his hand, we reckon he could drive from one end to the other blindfolded, no worries. Knowledge of the land, climate, soils, wind etc, is what making regionally perfect wine is all about. This stunner is pretty unique, with plush ripe fruit and a good lick of (35% new) French and American oak that you would normally only find in a bottle worth north of $100. There's plenty of palate weight, heaps of fruit, gorgeous spice and velvety tannins. The cricket fans at Vinomofo HQ really wanted to like this wine, none of us knew we were going to love it so, damn, much.
You’d pay $29 full price.
