Quite simply, this is as good as it gets. When it comes to the judgement and rating of wine there is one voice - one endorsement - that rings a little louder and reverberates a little longer: James Halliday and the Halliday Wine Companion.

1x Stonehaven Wines Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
Deep, brooding cabernet that flaunts the varietals reputation for medium-plus body. Soft and supple but still boasting broad palate weight that fills the mouth, arrests the gums, and lives on long after its been swallowed. James Halliday called this wine "seriously good cabernet," and, in his brevity, he sums it up perfectly; this bests every mark for classic Coonawarra cab - seriously good indeed.

1x Burge Family Winemakers Draycott Shiraz 2018
Red — Shiraz
Barossa Valley — Australia
This strikes the fresh jam chord perfectly (and it's a hard chord to play); the trick is to find developed fruit flavours without falling into overly unctuous and too-ripe territory. When winemakers get it right the results are outstanding - lucky for you, this is one such wine. Spiced, herbacious, and delivering a long fantail finish that ties the wine neatly together and has you (almost unconsciously) lifting the glass back to your lips. I will tell you to cellar this (and you will be rewarded if you do) but it's hypocritical of me, because I've already consumed my modest allocation.

1x Haselgrove Il Padrone Shiraz 2020
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
Lovers of classic Vale shiraz will adore this! It’s big, rich & round (we’re salivating already and offers loads of inky goodness to get lost in. There’s plush, chewy berries with hints of peppery spice and leather that float intriguingly across the palate. Plums, blueberries and juicy black cherries dominate the fruit spectrum, in that inimitable Vale dark coffee-cake profile. It’ll get even more interesting in a few years’ time, but I, for one, won’t be able to keep my hands off it.
You’d pay $80 full price.

1x Taltarni Reserve Moonambel Vineyards Shiraz Cabernet 2019
Red — Shiraz Blend
Pyrenees — Australia
A classic Aussie red blend meets a classic Aussie producer. Sounds about right, and tastes even better. We’re talking an all-class act, one that speaks of its home in the Pyrenees and the eucalypt influence that punctuates the fresh air. The wine itself is all estate-grown, setting the bar high coming from a winery of this calibre. Rich notes of vanilla and toast gently hum alongside fresh blackcurrants and black cherries, perhaps a little touch of olive tapenade lingering on the finish. You can expect this wine is going to knock your socks off, so set your expectations high and let this gem hit even higher.

1x Zilzie Limited Edition McLaren Vale Shiraz 2018
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
We like shiraz. We like McLaren Vale. We love this wine. If you're into really plush, spicy, oak driven shiraz then this is one bottle you don't want to miss. Just look at that Halliday score, and you'll know we're not messing about here. This wine was described aptly as being "not at all shy", and we would have to agree. For lovers of the big, the bold, and the bountiful- we present the shiraz for you.

1x Reschke Vitulus Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
Coonawarra — Australia
Coonawarra is an endless treasure trove, and we've just struck more gold. Shiraz at it's fresh, lively best. Abundantly fruited, smoooth drinking shiraz that's winning hearts. Reschke know their way around a good bottle of wine, and that doesn't just apply to their famed Coonawarra cabernets. Dark red fruits are complimented by red cherry, cranberry, with touches of allspice and pepper for a generous seasoning. It’s all you could ask for and more.
You’d pay $35 full price.
