Why do we love this case?
Centuries of hard study and impossible calculations by boffins all over the world have gotten us no closer to figuring out whether we prefer gris or grigio. And you know what, we're happy sitting on the fence. In this case, you'll get to explore the wonders of both styles. It’s pretty much the best way to get around the grape.
1x Coombe Yarra Valley Estate Pinot Gris 2024
White — Pinot Gris
Yarra Valley — Australia
2024 is turning out to be a pretty special year in the Yarra Valley. Not to get too technical, it was warm when it needed to be and cool when it needed to be. The result was slow and even ripening allowing the winemakers to really pick whenever they wanted to pick and then to treat the juice however they'd like. This wine shows what high quality producers can do with that freedom. There's plenty of ripe fruit and a subtle creaminess present but this has been achieved without sacrificing the brightness or crisp acidity of the wine. We'll be having this one with a lovely bit of goats cheese, maybe even some blue if we're feeling extra naughty.
You’d pay $30 full price.

1x Haselgrove Bella Vigna Pinot Gris 2023
White — Pinot Gris
Limestone Coast — Australia
This is an example of gris that we like a lot. Fleshy and mouth-wateringly moreish, this is sure to serve any and all guests well. That's what happens you you have classic, melony, pear-driven lusciousness and appley goodness running from the generosity of Golden Delicious right through to the almost bashfully exuberant Fuji. If you don’t know why we love this already, you're about to find out why.
You’d pay $30 full price.

1x Atlas Wines Section 32 Pinot Gris 2024
White — Pinot Gris
Clare Valley — Australia
Atlas wines are one of the most consistent producers we've ever worked with. This one is the very definition of smashable, it’s a great wine to have on hand for whenever an unexpected guest drops by, or for the 5pm weekday ritual.
This is delicious gris from a winery we adore. This is as fresh as they come: nashi pear, grapefruit, lemongrass, pineapple… You can imagine fresh, dew-dappled bouquets of herbs, citrusy zest finely grated over the top. Layered too, but instead of getting deeper it gets even more spritely, more exciting and aromatic. Intensity in spades but not lacking nuance. A real staple-of-the-cellar type of wine.
You’d pay $28 full price.

1x Bennati Pinot Grigio 2023
White — Pinot Grigio
Veneto — Italy
About as refreshing as wine can get. Crisp, vibrant acid, juicy apple and citrus flavours with a wonderfully clean, dry finish. Perfect as an accompaniment to a six-course seafood feast or a movie in the park with friends - no need to overthink it, this wine will rise to any occasion.
It's rare that we find a wine, anywhere in the world, that fits the Australian summer lifestyle so perfectly. Out of the esky, at the beach, on the patio or family Christmas, this'll get the job done. A zesty but nonetheless generous wine with a subtle power that won't be lost to richer foods and brings a surprising punch. This is what they drink in Veneto. Most at home with good food and good company, that said, if you must drink it with a horrible meal in the company of enemies, this'll still put a smile on your face.
You’d pay $42 full price.

1x Twin Valleys Pinot Grigio 2024
White — Pinot Grigio
King Valley — Australia
Italy’s leading grape varieties have an established home in the King Valley, including the ever-popular pinot grigio. This example of the grape is bright with citrus and pear on the nose and freshness from the nose to the palate with a crisp, mineral finish. When given more time to develop in the glass, the wine shares a greater depth to its expression. Ripe red apple, nashi pear, and hints of sherbet on the nose. From a weekend BBQ to a plate of spaghetti marinara over candlelight, it’s a flexible food wine that is sure to please.

1x Gapsted Limited Release Pinot Grigio 2022
White — Pinot Grigio
King Valley — Australia
The Alpine and King Valleys are national leaders for producing delicious grigio. It’s likely thanks to all the Italian influence up there. There’s more Italian surnames floating around those parts than in The Godfather. So really, you’d expect them to know what they’re doing with pinot grigio.
This’ll keep you cool and refreshed on the hottest of days. It’ll please everyone from Auntie Karen to your grigio-guzzling bestie. Don’t turn your nose up at a great wine doing great work, even if it is as ludicrously low priced as this. Trust in this great value vino. It’ll repay you in flavour, every damn day.
You’d pay $25 full price.
