Bonne Fortune means good luck - and good luck indeed, stumbling across an organic French chardonnay for less than $25! Chardonnay is a chameleon of a grape, capable of many styles from big and buttery to lean and mineral. This one is at the more elegant end of that spectrum with fresh green apple, white flowers and peach on the nose, followed by a bright and energetic palate. There’s more stone fruit on the palate, along with grapefruit and minerality. It’s a moreish sort of wine, and more so with a charcuterie board and a good conversation.
