Why do we love this case?
The Lucky Dip Case is back! The first time we did this, we broke the internet. This time we’ve bubble-wrapped the servers because they’re in for another beating.
Every case contains the same eleven wicked wines, including some of our absolute faves here at the ‘fo. More info on them below, and they’re all good things. All mofo standard - i.e. nothing we haven’t enjoyed ourselves.
Then there’s the added excitement of seeing which one of these world-beater wines you will receive as your twelfth.
The twelfth wine is the wildcard and could be any one of these:
An iconic Henschke Hill of Grace Shiraz 2008 worth $1300 (1 in 100 chance)
Schild Estate 'Edel' Shiraz 2018 worth $110 (1 in 25 chance)
Reschke RSR Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 worth $75 (1 in 10 chance)
Powell & Son Riverside GSM 2021 worth $30 (at a minimum!)
Each box contains one of these epic wines. The odds vary per wine, but each one is a centrepiece wine, worthy of some truly special occasions.
We should say up front: there are no returns on this - click here for case terms and conditions. As it’s a Lucky Dip, it would be unfair to other mofos running in the draw.
The easiest way to guarantee to get a bottle of Hill of Grace is to go out and buy one for yourself. If you, like me, don’t have $1300 handy, this is definitely your best (and cheapest) option! Heard enough already? Pop that case in the cart and cross your fingers and toes! Otherwise, read on for a bit more info on all those lovely wines:
The Wild Card Wines

Henschke Hill of Grace Shiraz 2008
Eden Valley, SA
98pts James Halliday / 98pts James Suckling / 96pts Real Review / 96pts Robert Parker / 4.5 Vivino (2008 vintage)
Hill of Grace is synonymous with single vineyard excellence. It is consistently our nations greatest wine. Put it this way: if you were lucky enough to drink Grange every week, you'd bust out Hill of Grace for special occasions. From a single vineyard in Eden Valley, this is a truly remarkable piece of Australian wine history. It defines the pinnacle of our production, the zenith, the apex, the elite and the outstanding. As a wine there is nothing else like it. Be warned: there is life before you have tasted Hill of Grace, and life after - things will never be the same.

Wild Card Wine #2
Schild Estate 'Edel' Shiraz 2018
Barossa Valley, SA
96pts Wine Orbit / Five Stars Wine Orbit
You know when something seems to good to be true? That's what we thought of this wine before we tasted it, surpassing all expectations by miles. Macerated plums, fresh vanilla pods, cracked pepper and roasted coffee beans are just some of the layers that you can expect here. Did we mention a robust, silky palate? That's right, this is a wine of very high calibre. Given this winery is all about their heritage estate vineyards, I guess we should never have been surprised at how good this could get.
YOU’D PAY $110 full price.
Wild Card Wine #3
Reschke RSR Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
Coonawarra, SA
96pts Wine Orbit / 4.3 Vivino (All Vintages) / Mofo Fave
This cellar release may have eight years of development behind it, but give it a taste and you’ll see that it is only starting to touch its prime drinking window. This wine is usually exclusive to the producer’s database, but somehow our charming wine buyers have managed to get some for the site. Each glass of this cabernet is sure to be excellent and intriguing. The once boisterous tannins have now mellowed on the silky palate, and fruit is joined by herbaceous and somewhat meaty notes. There’s still classic cabernet cassis and blackberry, which is accompanied by rosemary, thyme and a long and savoury finish.
YOU’D PAY $75 full price.
Wild Card Wine #4
Powell & Son Riverside GSM 2021
Barossa Valley, SA
A regional icon of an iconic region. It’s bright and juicy, with elegant tannin and layered complexity. The palate’s exploding with blackcurrant and raspberry compote, sweet red cherries and licorice. The generous splash of mataro adds a delightful medicinal undertone to this one - wine tonic for all your ailments. It’s plush enough for the winter, and will take a quick chill in the fridge over the heat of summer. No matter when, where, or who you share this with, it’s guaranteed not to disappoint.
YOU’D PAY $30 full price.

1x Starling Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
Barossa Valley — Australia
Like a good book, wine is not all about what’s on the cover. But we have to say, when you’re getting great vino in some super sleek packaging, it’s a big bonus. This is the Barossa classic with a modern edge. Fruit-driven and rich, it hits every corner of your palate with pleasing intensity. The oak-imparted tannins make for a ripper time with some charred meat or veg, perfect for that easy weeknight in.
You’d pay $35 full price.

2x Amelia Park Ironstone Shiraz 2022
Red — Shiraz
Frankland River — Australia
This wine is, without doubt, one of the most popular we’ve ever seen at Vinomofo. How popular is popular, you ask? Well, thirsty mofos took over 30,000 bottles of a previous vintage straight out of our hands. Yup. We know it’s a great wine deal but when our mofo members are this unanimous in their desire for this drop; well it’s simply cause for one big shiraz gluggin’ celebration.
Full bodied and silky smooth with lashings of plums and earthy spice; if you’re quaffing this Frankland River gem on a week night, know you’re in good company alongside many a mofo. With one fist in the air (and the other holding a glass of this wine) we salute you!
You’d pay $33 full price.

2x Penley Estate Erin Grace Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
Shortlisted for Halliday's 2024 Winery of the Year. WINNER of Halliday's 2024 Winemaker of the Year. It's no wonder this win'es aknock-out: black currant, cassis, and subtle cedar notes meet dark cherry, plum, and a bit of vanilla. That's all complemented by well-integrated tannins that provide a velvety texture. Robust yet elegant, this is full bodied and boasting a long, satisfying finish. Delicious at every turn.
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Serafino Wines Black Label BDX 2016
Red — Cabernet Blend
McLaren Vale — Australia
Serafino are faves of many McLaren Vale loyalists. Their style crosses the threshold of Aussie, Italian and French influences to reach sophisticated heights. This Bordeaux blend (hence, BDX) is a full-fruited red that packs a heap of punch. Notably, the varieties of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, carmenere and merlot all make a wonderfully age-able wine: so with 7 years cellar time this is looking as complex as ever. Enjoy it lovingly mofo, this is a real treasure.
You’d pay $40 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Twin Valleys Nouveau Rosso 2021
Red — Red Blend
Alpine & King Valleys — Australia
We love delicious Alpine wines - the grape varieties they play with are an exploration of the flavours of wine. Here, they’ve taken the northern Italian jubey-drop dolcetto, and added a splash of primitivo - not a classic blend, but one that works amazingly well. Plus, these folks know what they are doing regarding Italian varieties. This is the first time we’ve tried the ‘nouveau’ or ‘nuovo’ style, which is made to be an ultra fruity and juicy red. Get on it now, it’s drinking so beautifully - a truly bright addition to their range. Upbeat, medium-bodied, floral and food-friendly, with purple fruits and a juiciness that’ll have you topping up your glass in a flash.
You’d pay $25 full price.
