Another ripper from an absolute mofo fave producer. Single vineyard shiraz from King Valley. Sometimes you don’t want something new - you know the producer, you love the region and it goes with your lifestyle. A great example of our national grape with bright red fruits, clove and other spices. and soft smooth tannins. So soft, so smooth, so delicious.

2x Eight at the Gate Lanacoona Cabernet Shiraz 2018
Red — Cabernet Blend
Wrattonbully — Australia
This beauty was born out of an indecision of sorts. Making the choice between two fantastic parcels of cabernet and shiraz turned out to be too hard in the end, and so this blend was born. Inky blackberries and mulberry come together in a spicy, voluptuous red that will have you crawling back for more. Warning, this is dangerously enjoyable wine.
You’d pay $24 full price.

2x Elysian Springs Marley Farm Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Australia
It doesn’t get much more Vale-y than this. Full-bodied, but not heavy, dark in fruit but expressive and bright. Think plums, black cherries, dark chocolate, liquorice and spice. Great balance, great length, smooth on the palate and eminently delicious. Simply McLaren Vale, through and through.
You’d pay $28 full price.

2x Gomersal Wines Rosevale Shiraz 2020
Red — Shiraz
Barossa Valley — Australia
Gomersal Wines are right in the heart of it, the famed terroir of the Barossa Valley. Surprise surprise, they make pretty good shiraz. This is the kind of wine you can open without hesitation, and it’ll deliver on all its promises. Deeply coloured, and richly flavoured. The palate is fleshy with all the fruits from plum to black cherry to raspberry. You’re doing things right if you get some charred things on your dinner- whether that be meat or vegetables. Lean into the comforts, and enjoy without restraint.
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Farmer's Leap Random Shot Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Padthaway — Australia
Just next door to the famed Coonawarra, Padthaway has paved the pathway (see what we did there?) to provide high quality, yet super affordable reds. We’re on the road to enjoying the fruits (quite literally) of this lesser known ‘salt of the earth’ region that boasts wonderful conditions conducive to full-bodied reds. This cabernet boasts bold ripe blueberries and dark cherries, with a good swirl of licorice and leather, cocoa and earthy spice that lead into the smooth finish.
You’d pay $20 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Vinalba Malbec 2022
Red — Malbec
Mendoza — Argentina
This Argentinean beauty in a bottle is rich, ripe and robust, delivering plenty of bang for your buck. It’s the perfect weeknight quaffer - one that’s going to pamper you on the palate - not punch you in the hip pocket. Winemaker Hervé Fabre has won Argentine Red Winemaker of the Year as well as made Tim Atkin’s ‘Winemaking Legend’ list. Essentially, you know this is going to be a ripper.
You’d pay $25 full price.
