Riesling 2013 – Black Market Deal #35654
- Textural
- Clare Valley
This producer just knows how to reel in the points, reviews, golds and trophies year in, year out. With a good 7 years under its belt and 95 points Halliday Wine Companion, this wine is no exception. By all means drink every one of these treasures right away or enjoy the decadence this precise drop will gift you for many a year to come. Picked early from a dry grown single vineyard just between Watervale and Seven Hills, just one sip of this and you’ll experience bursting zesty lemons and limes that carries you from the nose, well into the crisp and precise finish. Previous vintages of this exact drop caused quite the ruckus with mofo members and mofo staff alike as it proved a favourite across the board. Buy this with confidence!

What is a Black Market deal?
Black Market deals are only made possible if we don’t reveal the maker’s brand on site. The wines are the genuine article – absolutely no cleanskins or fake brands, just dangerously good value. You won’t find out what it is until it hits your doorstep, but you won’t regret it. Just keep it on the down low.
Mofo member price is always best price, 100% Happiness Guaranteed. If you find a better price to buy this wine elsewhere, contact our customer team now and we’ll beat it.
It’s cool, we get it, you want to know absolutely everything about this wine. Well here you go, go nuts.

Riesling lovers need look no further. If there was ever a shrine to the rizza gods then it would be in the Clare. But go beyond the pristine, dry and steely whites that made the region world famous, and you’ll find some special reds worthy of attention. Shiraz and cabernet are among the frontrunners, with examples from Kilikanoon, Jim Barry, Leasingham, Tim Adams and Skillogalee regularly receiving top marks from Sir Halliday. There’s also some pretty smart grenache, cabernet franc and cabernet malbec coming out of the region too. So if you’re into plummy, well structured red wine styles, then you’ll find rich pickings here.
