Premier Cru Chablis 2018 – Black Market Deal #37651
This producer have been growing grapes in Chablis for generations, but it wasn’t until 1979 that they started bottling their own wine. The Premier Cru Vau de Vey was planted in the 1970s and facing east, is a slow-ripening site with the gentle morning sun providing a long growing season and wines of spectacular complexity. This is a stunning example of the vineyard - an energised wine full of quince, citrus pith and stoney minerality. Half off the wine sees a year in barrel, adding texture to balance this taut wine with racy acidity.
It’s cool, we get it, you want to know absolutely everything about this wine. Well here you go, go nuts.
