Why do we love this wine?
This producer only makes this pinot gris in the Adelaide Hills, "it is the very best expression of region and variety - paying due homage to both." Their (secret) winemaker has a long and storied history of producing fantastic pinot gris in the Adelaide Hills. His ancestors arrived in Australia about 120 years ago and three generations of grape growers and winemakers later, the family still owns one of the best sites in the Adelaide Hills. Here's where our gris comes in. Juicy ripe pear and green apple, refreshing acidity, zesty citrus and a touch of complex minerality. Chuck in a bright, aromatic nose, subtle textural elements and a lingering finish and you've got a complete wine. Enjoy immediately!
