Over the past few years, pinot gris has become all the rage down in Tassie. Winemakers say they can’t make enough to meet demand. They just didn’t know how demanding we can be! This is the second vintage we’ve gotten of this top producer’s gris and it’s an absolute pleasure to drink - a bit more structured and acid driven than the previous vintage, yet still full of pears, spice and herbs with a touch of residual sugar and a viscosity that reminds you that this ain’t grigio. The bottle will be drained before you know what happened.
