Oh Burgundy, you beauty. You should see mofo HQ when there’s Burgundy being tasted. We all get together in the kitchen and there’ll be people I’ve never seen before. They come crawling out of the cracks in our exposed brick, warehouse conversion of an office, desperate for a drop of French goodness on the tongue. Especially when they hear that we’ve got something from the recently named Burgundy Winemakers of the Year, who’ve been making Berry Brothers & Rudd’s (UK retail icon) own label Burgundies since the ’70s.

Medium gold in colour, this chardy asks an age-old question: how do you like them apples? Golden Delicious, to be precise, along with nutty, citrus, floral and mineral notes that’ll make daily consumption a refreshing tradition of your own.

Hang on, I might have got that slightly wrong. Yes, there are apples, and all the other things, but its the complexity at this price, and the layers that open up as the wine warms up in the glass that you can’t really replicate with Australian chardonnay. 

So let me rephrase that slightly. I should have said: Golden. Delicious.
