Chardonnay 2017 – Black Market Deal #35116
- Fresh, juicy
- Tasmania
It’s so exciting when we get a new Tassie producer on board. Here’s our first wine from a Five Star Halliday Rated Winery out in the Coal River Valley. It’s an excellent example of chardonnay from the island, with fresh tropical and floral notes on the nose followed by stone fruits, passionfruit, gooseberry and more citrus on the palate. It’s fresh, crisp and concentrated, making for some great drinking. We’ve got more on the way from this producer, but here’s a great starting point as we dig in deeper.

What is a Black Market deal?
Black Market deals are only made possible if we don’t reveal the maker’s brand on site. The wines are the genuine article – absolutely no cleanskins or fake brands, just dangerously good value. You won’t find out what it is until it hits your doorstep, but you won’t regret it. Just keep it on the down low.
Full price $36.00 from the producer.
Mofo member price is always best price, 100% Happiness Guaranteed. If you find a better price to buy this wine elsewhere, contact our customer team now and we’ll beat it.
It’s cool, we get it, you want to know absolutely everything about this wine. Well here you go, go nuts.

Some of the country's highest quality and best value wines unarguably come from this wee island, and the average bottle price is higher than any other region. It is probably the most sustainable part of the Aussie wine industry, given its relatively untapped potential and consistency of quality. There's no denying that the Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, sparkling and aromatic whites are up there with the best.
The rules are there ain’t no rules, but here are some foods we think will work pretty well with this wine...
