Alte Reben translates to Old Vines and the older the vines…. The more delicious are the wines! These vines are grown on a site which are located in diverse soils that comprise of quartz, limestone, mica and clay particles, adding to the wine’s complexity and minerality. This grüner veltliner has an unctuous mouthfeel, with ripe fruits of apricots and pineapple shining through, as well as spicy aromas and honey and enough lively acidity to tie the wine into a harmonious balance. This wine eve has enough structure we’d even go as far to say as to serve this with some roast lamb or venison... Guten Appetit!
“Rich yeast, crushed boxwood and salty miso notes all play around ripe pear on the savory nose. The palate comes in with concentrated slenderness, and a tingling, mouthwatering juiciness that is reminiscent of ripe lemon. That citrus freshness in turn accentuates the underlying peppery spice.”
It’s cool, we get it, you want to know absolutely everything about this wine. Well here you go, go nuts.
