There’s something special about syrah from WA’s Great Southern region. A long season makes for very complex wines, with fruit intertwined with savoury notes and texture, if they are made well. This wine is indeed made well - the fruit spectrum is dark and brooding and savoury notes of black olive and hard herbs abound, such as rosemary and thyme. The medium body is augmented by tannin and concentrated powerful fruit. Cool, firm, dark and mysterious.
What is a Black Market deal?
Black Market deals are only made possible if we don’t reveal the maker’s brand on site. The wines are the genuine article – absolutely no cleanskins or fake brands, just dangerously good value. You won’t find out what it is until it hits your doorstep, but you won’t regret it. Just keep it on the down low.
