Why do we love this wine?
To some, Clare Valley might be relegated to riesling country, but those in-the-know, know that Clare also produces some of the plushest reds around. Why wouldn't it? A mere hour from Barossa the shiraz found here is a truly underrated gem! Sourced from new and old blocks including forty-plus-year-old vineyards. Abundant aromas of red currants, dark berries, spice, dark chocolate, coffee and florals. The medium to full palate offers up stylish, elegant complexity, with juicy dark fruit, silky tannins and good length. Already an enjoyably approachable drop, it has the weight and depth to see it continue improving with age.
