We really don’t need to hype up old vine Barossa shiraz. You already know you love it. This is an unfined and unfiltered example from one of the region’s best regarded producers. It’s been basket pressed for gentle handling before spending two years in a mix of new and seasoned French oak. The grapes are sourced from three vineyards on the valley floor and make for a powerful wine that’s complex on the nose...think blackberry mulberry, aniseed, ginger and mint. There’s all that and more on the palate with the addition of chocolate and a lengthy finish of fine tannin structure. Need we say more?
