Shiraz 2019 - Black Market Deal #39682
- Medium bodied
- Mount Benson
It’s been a hot minute since we’ve enjoyed a drop from an old mofo fave of ours out of Mt. Benson, but gee are we glad to have it back. If you’ve been part of the Fo’ family for a few years now and regularly tuck into our quaffing shiraz, you can expect a lovely surprise when this arrives at your doorstep. 2019 is a vintage known for its low yields yet high quality so any time you spot a deal, pounce! After a quick decant, enjoy a palate of red fruits, subtle charcuterie and soft spice over a classy medium body that will sit wonderfully alongside your weeknight ‘meat n’ 3 veg’ dinner.

What is a Black Market deal?
Black Market deals are only made possible if we don’t reveal the maker’s brand on site. The wines are the genuine article – absolutely no cleanskins or fake brands, just dangerously good value. You won’t find out what it is until it hits your doorstep, but you won’t regret it. Just keep it on the down low.
It’s cool, we get it, you want to know absolutely everything about this wine. Well here you go, go nuts.

Region
Mount Benson
Halfway between Robe and Kingston and part of the greater region of the Limestone Coast, Mt Benson has a unique maritime influence, and the soil has the limestone remnants of shells from a receded maritime influence from ages past. Wines with a ripeness but a fineness that some other Limestone Coast wines lack, Mount Benson are to be overlooked at your peril. Da daaa daaaaaa...
