Shiraz 2018 – Black Market Deal #35913
- Rich, full-bodied
- Margaret River
That’s right mofos, if you crave a good lick of oak thrown at your shiraz (and a stupendous discount to boot) then give your ‘scrolling down’ finger a rest and hit that order button. This Margaret River juice has been treated to a soak for 14 months in 50% new French and Hungarian (ooh exotic…) oak providing it with a surprising chocolate and coffee like hug while you take the box seat and enjoy all the classic WA fruit notes that your palate can handle. Medium bodied and a softness in texture gives you all the permission to drink this immediately and enjoy; yet the generous oak will allow fun development over the years to come. Grill some mushrooms and pop a scoop of creamy feta and a sprinkle of parsley over the top to pair and you can thank us later!
What is a Black Market deal?
Black Market deals are only made possible if we don’t reveal the maker’s brand on site. The wines are the genuine article – absolutely no cleanskins or fake brands, just dangerously good value. You won’t find out what it is until it hits your doorstep, but you won’t regret it. Just keep it on the down low.
Full price $45.00 from the producer.
Mofo member price is always best price, 100% Happiness Guaranteed. If you find a better price to buy this wine elsewhere, contact our customer team now and we’ll beat it.

Margaret River is as elusive as it is beautiful, such that you really need to visit to truly grasp its haunting beauty. Über-premium Cabernet, Chardonnay and Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blends grow here. 'Margies' only produces 3% of the country's grapes, but commands over 20% of its premium wine market, and hasn't had an off vintage since 2006. You start to realise how often this region is overlooked when you can list brands like Leeuwin, Cape Mentelle, Vasse Felix, and Voyager, not to mention Cullen, Pierro, Moss Wood, and Deep Woods. It's safe to say that it's time for a revisit.
