Shiraz 2017 – Black Market Deal #40839
- Rich, full-bodied
- Heathcote
Coming from a sommelier background, our winemaker certainly knows the realm of delights that await under a cork. We’re pretty happy about the career change, when they’re producing wines like this fine Heathcote shiraz. Think you know what you’re in for? With this one mofo, it’s so much more. Ticking all the boxes from balance, length, texture and concentration and doing it in style. Luxurious notes of chocolate-dipped blackberries and dark cherries will have you and your tastebuds singing. It’s a balanced act seasoned with black pepper spice, and a sleek satin finish. This might not be the most powerful Heatchote shiraz you can get your hands on, but it’s definitely not one you’ll forget about anytime soon.

What is a Black Market deal?
Black Market deals are only made possible if we don’t reveal the maker’s brand on site. The wines are the genuine article – absolutely no cleanskins or fake brands, just dangerously good value. You won’t find out what it is until it hits your doorstep, but you won’t regret it. Just keep it on the down low.
It’s cool, we get it, you want to know absolutely everything about this wine. Well here you go, go nuts.

Heathcote
There are two distinct styles of Heathcote wine, which can get confusing. There's Wild Duck Creek Duck Muck at the giant end of the spectrum for Greenock Creek lovers (I'm talking 17.5% alcohol!). And then there's Jasper Hill, Heathcote Estate, Chalmers' new Heathcote outfit and some new alternative varieties that seem to be making it into the best weird and wonderful natural wines in the country. Think Shiraz here traditionally, but don't be afraid to try the Nebbiolo, Fiano and Lagrein from painstakingly selected vineyards. They're refreshingly delicious.
