San Polino Rosso di Montalcino Sangiovese 2018
- Textured, savoury
- Tuscany
This tiny organic producer is sought after by those in the know and stumbled upon by the lucky. We count ourselves extremely lucky. Their Rosso had a family resemblance with their mind-blowing top wines, all very well-made from their lofty Tuscan vineyards. Itâs lovely, fresh and chewy sangiovese, bright and full of berries (red and black), cherries and a touch of vanilla. Made in exactly the same way as its big brother Brunello, which is more than double the price, you know that youâre tasting only the difference in terroir.Â

Ah...Tuscany. The home of rolling hills, extra virgin olive oil, Steak Florentine and, of course, Chianti. Everything here is about the earth, and it shows through in the produce. Earthy, vinous, purely rustic and unadulterated. Some of our most enjoyable experiences have come from here. They don't generally come cheap, but they're well worth it.
