Pinot Noir 2017 – Black Market Deal #35211
- Elegant, lighter
- Tasmania
It’s been a little while since we’ve gotten our hands on pinot from this producer, but we are overjoyed to have it back. And it’s their reserve from the exceptional 2017 vintage to boot. The grapes come from a small vineyard right on the Tamar River and are crafted into a beautiful drop by one of the most renowned winemakers on the island. The fruit profile is so pure, all black cherry and strawberry, with a slightly wild earthiness underlying everything and reminding you that this is indeed from Tasmania. There’s impressive length, fine grained tannins and ample acidity to making pairing with food an easy exercise.

What is a Black Market deal?
Black Market deals are only made possible if we don’t reveal the maker’s brand on site. The wines are the genuine article – absolutely no cleanskins or fake brands, just dangerously good value. You won’t find out what it is until it hits your doorstep, but you won’t regret it. Just keep it on the down low.
Full price $48.00 from the producer.
Mofo member price is always best price, 100% Happiness Guaranteed. If you find a better price to buy this wine elsewhere, contact our customer team now and we’ll beat it.

Some of the country's highest quality and best value wines unarguably come from this wee island, and the average bottle price is higher than any other region. It is probably the most sustainable part of the Aussie wine industry, given its relatively untapped potential and consistency of quality. There's no denying that the Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, sparkling and aromatic whites are up there with the best.
