Pinot Noir 2016 – Black Market Deal #35222
- Medium bodied
- Marlborough
Marlborough pinot noir - that wine that those in the know know all about. This one is handpicked from separate vineyard blocks, fermented in individual vats and blended up before bottling. This allows for the winemaker to see how each parcel develops before putting together the perfect amalgamation in the bottle. On the nose, there’s vibrant fruit, cocoa and cooking spices. The palate, supported by fine-grained tannins, is all raspberry, strawberry and herbs. There’s a touch of oak for structure, but it’s subtle. All in all, an excellent mesh of wine.

What is a Black Market deal?
Black Market deals are only made possible if we don’t reveal the maker’s brand on site. The wines are the genuine article – absolutely no cleanskins or fake brands, just dangerously good value. You won’t find out what it is until it hits your doorstep, but you won’t regret it. Just keep it on the down low.
It’s cool, we get it, you want to know absolutely everything about this wine. Well here you go, go nuts.
