Why do we love this wine?

Ahhh, Peter Treloar you’ve done it again. Introducing another magical vino that will vanish all too quickly from your glass. This winemaking wizard and longtime friend of the ‘Fo, renowned for his top-class Clare rieslings, has turned his hand to shiraz. And boy, are we glad. Straight from his new vineyard in Langhorne Creek, this single vineyard shiraz beats some of the best from the Barossa at their own game.

Famous for it’s deep alluvial soils and long sunny growing seasons, Langhorne Creek is regarded as one of the country’s best kept viticultural secrets and source of great value wines. So we’re not surprised that the canny Mr Treloar secured a top spot here, ‘cause it’s a region renowned for vino similar in taste to many popular Barossa reds.

Prepare to bite into a plush and juicy array of rich plums, blackberries, mocha and spice that are layered on a soft, generous and cuddly palate. Like a comfy sofa, this is the kind of shiraz you can sink into everyday of the week. But at this price, you’ll need to get in quick otherwise you’ll be sitting on the floor.
