Maison Chanzy Clos Michaud Monopole Bourgogne 2019

Located in an old house that belonged to Vincent Leflaive, the Maison Chanzy in Puligny-Montrachet is a modern producer, crafting pristine wines across some of the best plots in Burgundy. Made of 100% pinot noir, this vino is intensely earthy with red berry fruits and an almost silky texture. Monopole means ‘one wine, one vineyard, one producer’, so this wine speaks of a special piece of land. It’s a young wine that saw less than 6 months ageing in oak - so we’d suggest enjoying it over the next five or so years to get the most of the ripe cherries, piquant red currants and crunchy herbs.
