We have stocked the Herència Altés straight grenache in the past and the response from our mofos was overwhelmingly good. This year, we’ve gone with their shiraz/grenache/carignan blend as quite simply, it won on the tasting bench. From their high altitude, organically-farmed vineyards comes a wonderful wine - ripe and deep, with a medium body. There is a combination of fruit and spice, the main highlights are plum and licorice, making for a bright, yet deep wine. My notes said ‘seriously good’, which is good news, because it’s also seriously affordable.
It’s cool, we get it, you want to know absolutely everything about this wine. Well here you go, go nuts.
