Why do we love this wine?
With its classic mahogany hue and notes of Turkish delight this McLaren grenache is everything you'd expect and more from an award-winning winemaker in one of Australia's most iconic vino regions. It's rich, round and bound to be the talk of any table - whether it's a crisp arvo in the garden or feast of roast chicken and veg. Just like all good drops of grenache should be, the one's bursting with dark fruit that focuses on dark raspberry to give it just the right acidic edge without being unctuous. A touch of liquorice helps it hit that sweet spot of tannins and acid. Seriously, we can't bang on enough about how brilliant this grenache and with six to 10 years in the tank (or longer in a cool cellar) it's got excellent length. Breathe this bottle for a couple of hours before drinking.
