We’d run giant steps to get to this pinot! Chief Winemaker Steve Flamsteed says he believes this to be the best release of Applejack pinot noir yet. Often the fastest to sell out of the Giant Steps range, the Applejack pinot is undoubtedly one of the crown jewels of their world-class wines. After hand-picking the fruit and soaking it for 3-4 days to ferment in indigenous yeast, the wine is then matured in a mix of 25% new French oak and 75% older oak for 8 months. Exploding with fragrant flavours of dark red fruits, cranberry and plums with an earthy fresh herb and spiced finish, this pinot falls nothing short of superb. With bright acidity and beautifully polished tannins, drink this with a light meaty dish for a delicious night in. Have this right now, or wait a few years for this baby to age and give future you a very special treat.
