Domaine des Bosquets Lieu Dit Gigondas 2018
- Textured, savoury
- Gigondas
At Domaine des Bosquets, Julien Brechet is exploring single varieties from single vineyards, something that isn’t so common in Gigondas. Le Lieu Dit, the vineyard source for this wine, is planted fully to grenache. Julien has been making this wine since 2009, always proud of the unique expression of terroir that it provides. It’s complex with black cherry and raspberry supported by more bitter and medicinal elements like blood orange and licorice. Despite the wines big and rich nature, it’s quite structured with a long and agile finish. Finesse and largesse don’t often fit together so naturally.

The Wine Advocate
“The full-bodied 2018 Gigondas le Lieu Dit features licorice and blood orange accents to its concentrated black cherry and raspberry fruit. Plush and velvety, this 100% Grenache cuvée looks to be a terrific success, finishing long, complex, silky and mouthwatering. Tasted twice, with consistent notes.”
