Domaine Anita Morgon Prestige 2020
- Gamay
- Beaujolais
If you’re after maximum structure and plushness, Morgon is the commune to look to in Beaujolais. This comes from a little vineyard called Le Clachet that boast vines of over 60 years in age. Burgundian vinification techniques have been employed here with the partial inclusion of stems. Black cherry and toasted bread are the obvious notes on the palate, with a smooth tannin profile and the appearance of fruit sweetness on the finish. Check out James Suckling’s rave review below to learn a bit more.

Reviews
James Suckling
“Welcome to the black heart of Morgon! So dense, concentrated and ripe with serious tannins, but a wonderfully plush texture on the expansive palate. Then the mineral freshness pushes through at the powerful, yet finely etched finish. If you can find actual black cherries that smell like this, then let me know! Drink or hold.”

Beaujolais
Oh Beaujolais, how we love you! Known for growing the delicious Gamay grape, this French wine region is located just north of Lyon. While administratively considered part of the Burgundy wine region and the climate here is close to the Rhône - the wine is unique unto itself.
