Why do we love this wine?

A cooler vintage, 2017 allowed its fruit to ripen on the vines a good two weeks longer than that of the previous year in Clare, making for a steady build in complexity and unique flavours in the wines. Now that we’re humming along into the 2020’s, we’re seeing such development in personality from this vintage and it’s on show here with this little number. Winemakers Stephen Dew and Reid Bosward (of Kaesler fame, for those of you who are partial to the Barossa) are responsible for Clare Wine Co. So rest assured, you’re in good hands. With fruit sourced from specific sites in Polish Hill, expect classic Clare aromatics of dark plums and lip smacking mulberry. The palate displays multitudes of cherries dipped in dark chocolate and a soft subtle spice which lingers all the way through to an elegant finish.
