Why do we love this wine?
I love it when all the hard, patient work of cellaring wine is done for me. There's simply nothing better than pristine cellar release vino rocking up on your doorstep ready to enjoy. Here with have something for the classicists: the dense blackberry and cassis fruit profile sits right at the centre, with tertiary aromatics and characters circling it in a delicious swirl of complexity and intrigue. Cedar wood, tomato leaf, some capsicum spice. The wine is right in the drinking window (with a while yet to go, mind you). In the unending debate of 'is Margs comparable to Bordeaux' this is one for the 'yes' column.
