Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 – Black Market Deal #35240
- Textured, savoury
- Wrattonbully
Coonawarra gets all the attention, but Wrattonbully perhaps deserves the same acclaim. It’s only twenty minutes down the road, generally provides better value and has a cooler name in my opinion (just saying’, not that it matters for what’s in the bottle). This cabernet comes from a national producer who works wonders in the region and exhibits all the classic hallmarks of the variety held together by some healthy French oak treatment. On top of all that, it’s already got five years of age, placing it right in its drinking prime.

What is a Black Market deal?
Black Market deals are only made possible if we don’t reveal the maker’s brand on site. The wines are the genuine article – absolutely no cleanskins or fake brands, just dangerously good value. You won’t find out what it is until it hits your doorstep, but you won’t regret it. Just keep it on the down low.
Full price $35.00 from the producer.
Mofo member price is always best price, 100% Happiness Guaranteed. If you find a better price to buy this wine elsewhere, contact our customer team now and we’ll beat it.

Region
Wrattonbully
Located between Coonawarra and Padthaway, Wrattonbully accounts for 2,600 hectares of vineyards. The dominant grapes are Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot and Chardonnay. Many larger Australian producers seek out grapes from the region as the soil is close to that of the Coonawarra's famous Terra Rossa red soil.
