Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 – Black Market Deal #33112
- Medium bodied
- Margaret River
Want to know what Margaret River cabernet tastes like? Get this. These guys seem to know how to imbue grapes with the very soul of a place. This wine’s made of choice parcels of old vines to produce stunning elegance and balance. Luscious, vibrant cassis notes are complemented by bay leaf, cocoa dust and a hint of espresso. Age will be kind to it, of course. Otherwise, a quick spin in the decanter is all you need. As Emma at HQ very eloquently put it, “This will impress the shit out of the father-in-law.”
What is a Black Market deal?
Black Market deals are only made possible if we don’t reveal the maker’s brand on site. The wines are the genuine article – absolutely no cleanskins or fake brands, just dangerously good value. You won’t find out what it is until it hits your doorstep, but you won’t regret it. Just keep it on the down low.
Full price $125.00 from the producer on 3 December 2019.
Mofo member price is always best price, 100% Happiness Guaranteed. If you find a better price to buy this wine elsewhere, contact our customer team now and we’ll beat it.

Margaret River is as elusive as it is beautiful, such that you really need to visit to truly grasp its haunting beauty. Über-premium Cabernet, Chardonnay and Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blends grow here. 'Margies' only produces 3% of the country's grapes, but commands over 20% of its premium wine market, and hasn't had an off vintage since 2006. You start to realise how often this region is overlooked when you can list brands like Leeuwin, Cape Mentelle, Vasse Felix, and Voyager, not to mention Cullen, Pierro, Moss Wood, and Deep Woods. It's safe to say that it's time for a revisit.
