I was lucky enough to visit the domain early this year (2023) and when they pulled out a few back vintages wines I knew we had to have them. The wines are so pristine, so well preserved, and absolutely singing. Bramble and cassis leads savoury, leafy, and earthy complexity. This is a monster wine in all that it offers, but it remains true to style in its near-medium body palate weight and higher, more rigid tannin profile. This producer is among the best of Margs having taken out a Decanter Platinum in recent years (I'd love to tell you just how recent it was, but that might give it away). Trust me though, there's not a stitch out of place here, the unmistakeable quality shines through in every sip.
