Profile
There are pretty florals and vibrant raspberries on the nose, then BANG! In comes the power on the palate - dark fruits, lots of fine tannin and a structure that speaks of careful winemaking and serious ageability. It’s medium-bodied but deep and powerful. The serious and structured side of cab franc. The wine saw around 10% new French oak and spent 18 months in barrel relaxing and developing - the result is a classy wine at the start of a long journey of great drinking.

Located between Coonawarra and Padthaway, Wrattonbully accounts for 2,600 hectares of vineyards. The dominant grapes are Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot and Chardonnay. Many larger Australian producers seek out grapes from the region as the soil is close to that of the Coonawarra's famous Terra Rossa red soil.
