Château De Landiras has crafted a complex, yet fruity Left Bank blend that shows off what the AOC of Graves is capable of. It’s aromatic, velvety and powerful, but still light on its feet with black cherry, a little spice and hints of mocha. Ageing took place in both barrels and vats, so it’s not overly oaky. Decanter has said: "Grand generosity, showcasing deep, vigorous dark forest fruit and an appetising blackcurrant freshness within juicy and fabulously-integrated tannins. Lovely, boisterous and rich in fruit. Bravo!"

Five Star Halliday Rated Winery

Kangarilla shows off the best of McLaren Vale with this four year old, single vineyard shiraz. Its opulence comes from wonderfully ripe fruit that gets the royal treatment in French oak. Berry conserve, juicy plums and explosive blueberries balance wonderfully with the smoky-cedary oak frame. There’s a fair bit of tannin, but it's integrated perfectly with the fruit. You can certainly put it down to age, but I’d put money that not many will be able to resist.

It’s so rare for us to get good Bellarine pinot here at the ‘Fo. There just isn’t much of it to go around. Consider this your lucky day, mofo. This is drinking so well right now, full of elegance and charm, and with layered complexity to leave you stroking that real or imaginary beard. The fruit is all black cherry, there’s earthiness woven through, and the finish is long and a touch spicy.

Fenian Estate is the boutique passion project of Mornington winemaker Ed Donnelly. He sources his fruit from a small vineyard in Red Hill, utilising whole bunch press and fermentation for the chardonnay. Natural yeast and a selection of new and seasoned oak add nicely to the complexity. The flavour profile leans towards apples and toast, with a touch of butter to boot.

A well-balanced, fresh and fruity sparkling, this vino comes with notes of lemons and apples and is a guaranteed winner once the warmer months roll round. It comes from a really exciting producer and fun fact, the property was used as a military base during WWII and the wells in which machine guns were hidden still remain. And to be fair, if they keep churning out quality prosecco like this, it may take a fortress to keep thirsty prosecco-lovers out of the building.

You may remember this delicious wine from last year if you were lucky enough to get your hands on a bottle. It’s made from grenache, which is the famous ingredient in Rhône rosé, with a little splash of mourvèdre, supercharging the aromatics of the wine. Along with the beautiful perfume is a light and bright wine that glides effortlessly across your palate, with a balance of fruit, lively texture and fresh acidity. BYO picnic and your spring just got a bit better!
